Quick question

  1. Can time be a distance?

  2. Is this really relevant to ask on a game? :|

  3. Casually, yes...I think so if the speed was provided.

  4. Distance is more of a physical displacement , time cannot be refered to as a distance.

  5. Time x speed = distance
    Speed x distance = time
    Distance x time = speed

I think thats how it works. So there are times when you say "the speed of light" it means time of distance light travels. So there are times it time can be distance. Hope this answer your question

  6. Light years. Used as a distance and used in terms of time.

  7. Well, I guess light years would be a time transferred into a unit of measurement.

  8. Thanks guys.

@-Clay- : This is the off-topic forum isn't it? This seems pretty off topic to me

  9. Again, thanks guys. Was tossing it about in my head and just thought I'd ask

  10. 1 light year is equal to close to 6 trillion miles. Only measured in distance not time

  11. A light year is the amount of space light travels in a year. Last time I checked a year is time

  12. light-year is a measure of distance (rather than, as is sometimes misunderstood, a measure of time).

  13. 1 parsec is equal to 3.26 light years. Light years are used to measure the distance between stars.

  14. The distance light travels over the set amount of light years.

  15. I don't even know what a persec is

  16. A parsec is equal to 3.26 light years. Meaning 1 parsec is roughly 22 trillion miles

  17. It would take you about 8,500 years to travel 1 light year.

  18. The highest distance that has been measured is giga light year aka gly. Its equal to 307 parsecs.. giga light years are used to measure the distance between quasars
