How will you know if the name is taken or not? Like I wanna change name but I don't want numbers. Is searching up the name and says "Invalid user" means it's not taken?
Always search a name before a change, if it’s taken but the person is inactive it possibly can be free’d up for your use but if it says invalid it’s unused
