Hi, this thread is dedicated to MiaKhalifa because she wanted me to make this thread a long time ago. ? You're welcome To preface, I did this type of thread a long time ago and figured I should do another one. The thread I did before at the time was done when I had around 300-ish songs on my device and now, a few years later, a new phone and about 700 more songs on my new phone, heres an update. In this version, I have included the band underneath the song. __________________________________ 10 Years Today Bullet for my Valentine The Future Is Now Starset Welcome Slipknot This is War 30 seconds to Mars Ready or Not Oomph! Whats this have to do with being emo? I have a wide range of music and decided to put them in a story like fashion.
idk how bands can seem emo-ish based off a few songs. Anyways, I'm gonna go ahead and assume you think that Two Steps from Hell is emo. Fact is, its a group of two people who make epic music for films such as Batman amd many other action films and video games. But anyways, a song story is basically me writing a story with songs off my playlist.
O i didn't listen to the songs, i was judging off the bands that i recognized. Linkin park, metallica, avenged seven fold, bullet for my valentine. All pretty emo. And otay
I've seen a lot of these bands. I don't think any of them are emo. They were all rock shows. You need more Megadeth though.
Non emo songs by said bands: Linkin Park: A Place for my Head Wretches and Kings Keys to the Kingdom Guilty all the same etc Metallica: Breadfan King Nothing Enter Sandman Ride the Lightning etc Avenged Sevenfold: Welcome to the Family Walk A Little Piece of Heaven Blinded in Chains etc Bullet for my Valentine: Waking the Demon Scream Aim Fire You want a battle, heres a war Creeping Death etc ?
I'm not referring to the music genre though. I'm using the general term emo. I also call my frens deathcore music emo because it is, even if that's not the applied genre
just because something you dont know anything about scares you doesnt mean you can label it whatever you want so it seems less frightening. ?
A lot of people in the hard rock and metal communities are really uber-specific when it comes to words like that, and most don't want to be called emo as the emo genre is kind of looked down upon (at least in the circles I've been in). Like there's so many subgenres, particularly of metal, that even if you're using it as the general term it isn't going to fly well with bands that don't fall in that genre. I've seen a similar thing happen with death metal bands being referred to as screamo. It's like sacrilege
Huge lie, also, are you multiracial? I want to assume that you're not white or at least not completely white. Based off your taste in music and what your best friend stated before, it's confusing on determing what you are, plus of how you interact to certain news that occurs in Canada.
