  1. Places to visit in India.

    ~Kasol.

So I was planning to make a thread on this for like 2 months ever since I came back from my trip from Kasol. It was a wonderful place but after reading couple of threads I thought post personal pics from the trip isn't really a great idea but still I wanted to share the experience so we are here lol so lemme tell you about the trip minus the very personal stuff but first a brief intro about the place copy pasted (ctrl+c) from a couple places from internet.

Kasol is a hamlet in the district Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, northern India. It is situated in Parvati Valley, on the banks of the Parvati River, on the way between Bhuntar and Manikaran. It is located 31.2 km from Bhuntar and 5 km from Manikaran. Kasol is the Himalayan hotspot for backpackers..It acts as a base for nearby treks to Malana and Kheerganga.

With the waters of the Parvati river gurgling along and a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains in the background, taking a stroll along the river is one of the best ways to spend a day in Kasol. With smooth boulders and clean white sand separating the green grass from the frothing sea-green waters of the river, every single bend in the river opens up to a breathtaking panorama of cliffs, pine trees, and gushing waterfalls.

Kasol is famous for its trekking trails, which include treks to Kheerganga, Yanker Pass, Sar Pass, and Pin Parbati Pass. To get a real feel of the culture in these regions, go on a visit to the village of Malana. Located a few kilometres away from Kasol, Malana is a tiny hamlet inhabited by people living in self-imposed isolation. The people of Malana claim themselves to be Aryan descendants, as a result of which they avoid interaction with outsiders. The village has plenty of scenic sights, though, and is often called ?Little Greece?.

Kasol is inhabited by a huge number of people from Israel, which is clearly discernible from the plenteously available Israeli food, and the street signposts inscribed in Hebrew. Kasol has quite a few streetside cafes which serve delicious food, and the experience of sitting and enjoying a meal amidst the dark green forests and the awe-inspiring mountains make the meal even more enjoyable.

Kasol has a flea market that sells a variety of items, so you can pick up trinkets, souvenirs, pendants, and even semi-precious stones to take back home for family and friends.

Kasol is quite famous for drugs and weeds like marijuana etc., so be careful.
    or be happy xd

    - The road journey is quite dangerous with needle point turns and extremely narrow roads. Make sure you are travelling on a strudy vehicle.
oh yes I fugging almost died there like 678 times

Haha if you had the courage and stamina to read all that let's talk a lil about my personal experience xD

We were at Bhuntar on like 2nd of October which is a national holiday in India coz it's the birthday of M.K Gandhi but we weren't affected much bcoz of that for some reason we were a grp of 15 people which included 6 couples and 2 single dudes including me and my class rep and my best . We were late {as usual} coz some of us were too busy buying stuff a day before {I hate these window }yes, I made that term up but you got the point right?.Finally when we were at we were too tired and then someone came up with a great idea to not search for lodging and camp in the forest {Yes, I am that idiot} and well coz it was close to the river it was too cold for us to handle so some guy arranged some rum, whiskey and weed for us. I didn't try the weed even though was insisting but I went overboard with rum. After that, we were enjoying and partying and had a lot of fun. Next day having an awful hangover we were late again and we woke up at 8 am in the morning and I swear the place looked beautiful. The boys were ready in half an hour but the girls took good 4 hours to finally get ready. We reached our destination at 1 pm and started.
Initially, we thought that a 14 km route won't be that difficult but after about 1 km half of us were completely done and wanted to run away.
After about 3 hours I was alone with half of the people about 2 km behind me {coz they had to take pictures for their and insta} and half of them were 3 km ahead {fugging gym freaks}. After that, the sole of my shoe came off coz why not I am the luckiest person on the planet. I borrowed sandals from a friend and started tracking with those and really the route was super dangerous with signs after every km saying that this person didn't take the route seriously and died here. There were no grills or anything as a safety and one mistake was enough to kill us all but really the thrill was amazing. At around 7 pm I was lost and with my phone's battery dead I had no hope to reach anywhere and then I saw a cow climbing up the mountain and started following her and with some miracle and luck, I reached the hot water bath for which we did all this lol. And the bath was closed for the day {coz why not luckiest person eva}.After that, we roasted some marshmallows and stargazed for a while and discussed our love life and future. In the morning we all went to the hot water bath and had fun and then we returned to Bhuntar and bought some souvenirs for the friends and family.
It was really a trip to remember even though it didn't go as planned.
But do any trips ever go as you planned?

Want to share some of your own

    plz, do.
