PIMD History Epi 6: JohnnyBlaze

  1. Hi! I'm ArchaeologistHistorian, or you can call me "History". After seeing PIMD's 8th Birthday, and watching my favorite YouTuber talk about his past in WoW, it gave me a thought. What if I was to dig up the past and see how PIMD was when it was first out? Well, in this series, I'll be getting my answers, hopefully from all Veteran PIMD players as I interview them and they tell me what they experienced.

Some might go into complete detail, others might make it short, sweet, and simple. Either case, I want to welcome all of you to:

    PIMD History

Thank you all for joining me and once again, welcome to PIMD History. It's a series where I talk to Veteran players and we delve into PIMDs past and learn about it's history before it became what it is today. My next Veteran I'm interviewing is JohnnyBlaze. Hardcore PvPer, cocky as hell too, Johnny is pvp smarts and always posts on his own wall with Fire as his signature emoji and he has a Legendary Avatar that I wish I could have and you cant change my mind about that. Without further ado, lets get started.

So Johnny, I want to start this interview off in the beginning. You went through the playstore, saw this app, what made you wanna download it?

JohnnyBlaze:So yeah, when I started this game I was bored out of my mind just scrolling through the games in the App Store.. and back then (8 years ago) the game selection wasn’t as expansive as it is now a days. Back then, mobile games were like Atari to console games being like PlayStation or Xbox today. So trying to find anything worth playing back then of quality or entertaining was kinda tough.

Well, I came across this game and a few others, and I can’t even remember the other games names... but I downloaded this game because it looked interesting The other games I downloaded also were terrible and I deleted them... I think it was some pirate game and a sudoku game...?

Who knows, so long ago I mean honestly, I had no idea what I was doing when I first started playing this game! No clue. Of course when I first started, there was no parties, no cat cafe, no hunts, none of what’s prevalent today. All there was, was jobs and hitting someone. And anyone you hit was active. There was no inactives during that time.

Take note. Every single veteran I have interviewed has said, "There were no hunts, no parties, no cat cafe." Imagine if this game was still like that today.

So as you got yourself more involved in the game, more acustomed to it, who can you say was truly a great help to you that taught you how this game was supposed to be played?

JohnnyBlaze:Lol! Dude.. so check this out... I played this game for about a month learning how to play this game by myself.. so as I said, one of the ways to make money was to hit someone... right?

JohnnyBlaze:So when I’d hit someone and make good money, I’d keep hitting them... making good money, not knowing I was actually farming someone. I had no idea what the hell farming was!! I had people walling me (back then there was no private messaging only posting on walls for the public to see) saying “why are you farming so-and-so” or “stop farming so-and-so”

I was like what the hell are these people talking about??? Where my crops at?? Do I have corn to farm?? Is my avatar wearing overalls or something?? It took me a good while to know what they were talking about! But by then I ticked off pretty much everyone in the game.. and was involved in sfw with just about every club.

Imagine that. Playing the game for an entire month without the proper guidance and you don't even know what farming is when people post on your wall. And then the entire game is mad at you and made you their main target. That's one helluva experience to remember.

JohnnyBlaze:Truth be told I never myself reached out to anyone.. believe me I’m not patting myself on my back, but I did it on my own. All I can really talk about is the experiences I encountered through my travels and some of the clubs I warred though out my time in pimd.

If you want, take a look at my clubs war history and you’ll see some of pimds first clubs. My club is one of the oldest clubs in pimd. If you look my name up in threads you’ll see how noobie I really was! My first thread was calling out the vip club I was warring!
    god I look so stupid

Wow. You're club was created since the very start of this game. What was your club all about when you first created it?

JohnnyBlaze:After starting my club, we were doing a war a week. It was the only way to really make money... and wars lasted 2 days. There was no option like there was today. I would sleep less than 8 hours in that 48 hours to war.

Yeah, tsk was one of the first.. not THE first but it was there with the beginning. We were a vip top 20 club for a long time! I made sure to create a family style club. Every one having everyone’s back. Because back then, at the very beginning, pimd was the Wild West!

Everyone hitting and farming and targeting.. if you weren’t in a club you were targeted instantly and often. Me being clubless for the first month experienced this first hand. So I created a club and took in people that understood: you don’t have to like each other but you have to respect each other. And we hold that principle to this day.

After the major drastic changes in pimd, how were you feeling as Ata introduced parties, cat cafe, hunts, and slowly leaning away from PvP?

JohnnyBlaze:Parties was the down fall for pvp. The minute that parties were introduced the amount of organized war dropped drastically. However, prior to parties there was a lot of clubs doing pwars (plunder wars). And there were clubs that would target pwar clubs just like clubs target cc clubs now.

Ata didn’t lean away from pvp for a while... it wasn’t until pwar clubs started popping up and people going inactive did ata make a change. See like I said, pimd was like the Wild West! Everyone was farming everyone.. it wasn’t for the faint of heart. I’d wake up to 20+ notifications easily everyday, and that’s just mild.

So a lot of people joined pimd and couldn’t take it and would go inactive. AND EVEN back then, you had an option to reset your account and start over. A lot of people couldn’t handle being hit so ata was losing a lot of traffic due to many people going inactive... not to mention pimd started to go stale for a lot of people. I enjoy farming so I truly stuck around for that.. but not everyone is like me.

So are you saying that if the new gen of pimd was to experience old school pimd, they wouldnt be able to handle it?

    JohnnyBlaze:<censor> THE <censor> NO!

If cussing wasn't against ToU, there'd be no need for censoring, but I laughed hard when he said this in pms lmao.

JohnnyBlaze:I used to, just for kicks hit the BL (battle list, which is now called the people list  ) and watch the complaints rolling in. In fact, when it’s not a pvp event hit a few people and watch your wall explode with people crying over being hit.

That actually sticks true to this day. Go ahead and hit someone on the "Meet People" list and watch them complain on your wall.

Now I gotta say this. Your avatar is Legendary. First time I saw it, I wanted to know where it came from, knowing I'll never get it. What did you think of this avatar youre now using and what did you have to do in order to get it?

JohnnyBlaze:Ok so, as you know my name is Johnny Blaze. And for the longest I ONLY used this avatar (look at my basic avatar)

JohnnyBlaze:For YEARS I used this one.. it was the only one that fit me until the one I now use came along. And since my name is johnnyBlaze and I use my <Fire Emoji> signature when I talk <Fire Emoji>. When this avatar came along and I saw it for the first time I knew it fit me PERFECTLY! I know it guko or whatever... but just the guy on fire is me to a T.

Idk if you watch Dragon Ball Z, but his name is Goku and that is a Super Saiyan Transformation. Its why I said that avatar is Legendary xD[

JohnnyBlaze:So this hunt (of course) was on and the reward was this avatar and when I saw it I knew I had to have it. It was a “collect aliens” hunt or something like that.. you can see the items in my collection. And yeah I’m familiar with it.. but I’m not a fan like the rest.

Unfortunately I never really seen goku, I’m sure he’s awesome! But the avatar just related to my persona on a deeper level more than anything. If you get to know me, and see the way I talk with my <fire emoji> signature <fire emoji> you’ll see it fits me perfectly.

So let's talk about your wars. Do you remember the clubs that you warred with or against and what was that experience like?

JohnnyBlaze:So my very first war, a lot of people want to credit Immortals as being a top vip club, but back then it was A51. They were the first to do everything, they were the first to have sub clubs, 3 or more, They were the first to use tags, A51-SoAndSo-A51.

I’m not sure why they broke up but they ran pimd for the longest. Then Immortals took over. I’m not sure if you know this, but Captain Jack Sparrow was also Leonard do vinci, who was part of a51 first. He also, I believe the rumor was, the black stain of pimd. If you look up my first thread you’ll see him on it. You can even see the war I’m referring to in my clubs history.

You know, other veterans had said they hated him too because he was too power hungry when he became a mod. Did you ever have a problem with him in your time as well?

JohnnyBlaze:I mean, I’ve had a LOT of issues with soooooooo many people, he wasn’t really one of them. However, rumor has it he was an underaged mod who got caught by pimd and then subsequently banned

Trust me, thats my first time hearing that. If any vets are reading this, please confirm this with me and the rest of us thank you lol

JohnnyBlaze:So my very first war, I was such a noob, was against the #1 in pimd: A51. My admin waged the war. So as the war preparations started, A51 started filling their club with actives from their sub club... and then began to trounce us.

I immediately went to forums to call them out, and I then proceeded to get farmed incessantly! Come to find out I learned that war terms was needed before 2 clubs would begin to war.
My second war, after I learned my lesson, was against Gangsters Paradise, Londonrappers 1st club. We made war terms and as we started to pull away after he broke war terms and started calling in Mercs.

    Suddenly...

JohnnyBlaze:Dude you opened a can of worms! The <censor> you’re bringing back!

lmfaoooo its called PIMD History for a reason xD

JohnnyBlaze:I can tell you the copious amounts of people I’ve farmed, to warred...To the amount of influential people who have passed through tsk. Tsk has had its fingerprints all over pimd directly and Indirectly.

Trust me, theres a lot of things I want everyone to know, but gotta keep it to where its not a full documentary. I had to say the same to Felix. that man could write 8 years worth of PIMD stories if he wanted lol

JohnnyBlaze:Me and akudo are people too.. he’s a hard core farmer, but what people don’t know about him is he’s just like me, treat him with respect and he’ll do the same. London, not so much. I was always bitter about him stealing that war from us.

I called him the londoncrapper for the longest and would follow whatever war he was in to join the other side. Me and boson never really crossed paths in our time here... and I don’t believe I crossed paths with Quinn either.

See, the thing is a lot of people tried to talk down to me or bully me or bulldoze me because of my low stats. One thing about me and tsk is we won’t be dictated to.. by anyone. I treat this game, any game, like real life. Be cool with me and I’ll be cool with you. If I was a cocky ass well that’s probably because that person was too.

I mean... can you blame him? He's got a point.

JohnnyBlaze:Wallace tried that <censor> with me before also. He tried acting all hard and tsk and A got into it before also. RoamingGnome or who ever had to intervene and we agreed to just go our separate ways.

I’ll admit for the first year I was an <censor>, but that was because I didn’t understand the ettiequte or unwritten rules of pimd... and believe back then there were a lot.

So how do you feel about PIMD right now and do you think there is a way Ata can redeem itself to try and cater to veteran players?

JohnnyBlaze:Man <censor> ata. They banned me for 6 months for some <censor>. I am only still here because of the people I’ve met, and still have in my life. My club is my family. If it wasn’t for them I’d be long gone.

I was #1 for fights for a while, I achieved that goal.. I could have walked away then. But the love I got for the people in my club keeps me here. I talk <censor> about ata, but pimd.. I attribute a lot of my life to the game and the amount of TIME I spent playing and socializing.

I’ve met some wonderful people throughout my time here. I’ve farmed a <censor> ton of people, some famous people... I’ve warred some of the top clubs here.. been in sfw with the best.. and I’m still standing here grabbing my <censor> saying <censor> y’all!
Naw just playing... but for real, the amount of great people I’ve encountered has been a blessing.. truth be told I joined during a dark time on my life and the game allowed me to escape. The people I met allowed me to heal and grow.

Just so you know, I chased king rampage for top vip fight list for THE LONGEST TIME and I was only #1 for like 2 months and I kinda have it up.

Well Johnny, we have reached our finish line. There's so many more things I wanna ask and so much more to learn, but unfortunately we gotta make sure this doesnt turn into a documentary. Im sure youve read my threads and at the end of it, it is a tradition to ask you how youre doing in life. You don't have to answer if you don't want to.

JohnnyBlaze:Instead of talking about me and my life, I’d rather show love to the people who’ve made me who I am today if you don’t mind. First and foremost to my family at tsk... I love y’all with my heart!

Witchy, my oldest pimd friend here! TN I see you! -9-, eight, Tifffy, christy (succubus) Rm, the family at Rico, halbe, broddie, to my old family members who’ve passed though, my old tuts I’ve owned, pupils that let me go! I know I’m missing so many people I’d love to shout out to but I’m getting my curtain call and probably pushing my limits as it is!

Sorry for bombarding you with so much and derailing the interview.. it’s kinda flattering being associated with pimd history. I’m overlooked in all discussion pertaining to pimd and the history. I appreciate you recognizing me, thank you.

No need to apologize. It helps us players who are wanting to know and learn gain better details of how this game used to be and it's always nice to show love to the people you cared about the most. Johnny thank you so much for being here with me. I hope we can talk again soon and I hope new gen players learned a lot from you as well.

JohnnyBlaze:Naw, it’s me that thanks you for your considering me worth listening to. I appreciate it.

JohnnyBlaze is definitely a man I'd want to learn more from. Him and Felix. Both are well respected in my books and deserves great recognition for their knowledge here. But I dont want to leave out London, Wallace, Quinn, and Bosen. These Veterans have knowledge of this game's history that we all should learn and I'm glad we are because you chose to follow this series. You have my greatest thanks and I'm sure the veterans will also give you their thanks for reading this thread and showing your continuous support for this series.

  2. Get out

  3. johnny tut tut (censor censor) blaze! Thanks for the mention! Nice still seeing you around again pal! You know where to get me if you need me 

  4. Interviewing 3 players with 3-6 years badges
    First spot is Muschi
Muschi has a 1 year badge
    OP is contradictory

  5. You can be vouched for a spot ya know? Sorry for not putting that in. People gonna do what they want anyways.

  6. I have a three year badge

  7. How often are you doing these interviews and how long does it take for you to complete the coding good grief, That's some dedication to your series!

  8. I have 2 apps ready:

This game and another app called <said 3rd party app> to write my notes (although it sometimes get a little glitchy).

While interviewing these veterans, I copy paste questions from notes to the game, then copy paste answers from game to notes. While in that process, I also do my BB Coding in notes that I can copy and paste into the forums. It does take a good while depending on how detailed their answers are, but its mainly me doing 75% of the work by aaking questions, taking their answers, then bb coding it.

After the interview is finished, I do a rough look over to see if theres any errors or if I missed anything. I also take the time to use <said 3rd party app> to post gifs and images. Sometimes it doesnt work or I may have put in a broken code, but it gets fixed later on.

After putting in bb codes, images, gifs, and making sure the words arent jumbled together, I do a final look over to see if I missed anything (which I usually do, bare with me), then copy paste and post it here in forums.

It does take a lot of work and it does take a lot of dedication, but this series wouldnt have been successful and I wouldn't be dedicated so much if it wasnt for the support I'm getting, not just from veterans, but from other players too. So even if I don't feel like it, I still do it anyways cause it entertains everyone and gives good quality reads.

And I'm improving little by little everytime I post these threads. As long as players can see I'm improving, they get drawn in more to this series.

Thank you your support. I really do appreciate it.

  9. Vote for interviewing Mulva, she used to be overall #1 for a long time

  10. Nice interview, I enjoyed this

  11. Voting for her too!

  12. Mulva has more than 6 years here. Didnt she also go inactive?

  13. She logs in every once in a while, and I'm sure if anything a message can be passed to her from another club member. She stills plays ATA games afaik, just not really PIMD

  14. I vote mystery Jackson or privatedetective for literally anything

  15. sherlockholmes1 wasnt that it?
