Will anything ever be done? The moderators are great but ATA needs to fix the structure of the forums. The current state is just atrocious and I don't think that anything is going to change. Anyone can spam and if a mod does lock their topics then that doesn't matter because forums are still spammed and mods don't even have the power to ban a poster. What we need: Mods to have the power to forum ban Limit on the amount of posts/topics that can be made in an hour and day Learning module with quiz before granting ability to post Stricter forum rules as a result of the learning module Mods to have the ability to delete a topic rather than lock it A search bar for topics ---------------------- I cannot understand why ATA has not made any sort of move to adjust the way they run forums. Time and time again people spam and people will continue to spam. They will continue to be able to make 50 topics prior to getting banned. People bypass on forums and get silenced in the game but not on forums. They should be silenced on both. Someone explain why ATA has not and will not make a move to fix forums?
I won't lie; the people who post hardly make good threads, the threads hardly stay on topic, as pointless as they are, there are noobs clogging them up, and the good ole forumers are all gone. Not much of a healthy community left. (Not saying this Is true for everyone, but that's why I used the word community. It's a majority.)
Royale is exactly right. The main reason I think for this sort of community is the name of the game. The best way to change the community would be to change the name. The name brings in a lot of sexters. The general campus chat community is far worse than the forums community and it's all because of the name of the app. The name of the app will not be changed because it brings in a lot of players. However, if forums was structured more professional then it would at least be a little better but for sure the general community would still remain.
The name won't change anything mate. Neither will the icon. That's like saying if you change the name from "Red Lobster" to "Blue Pescado", less seafood lovers will go. This game attracts a certain crowd.
Why don't you want to limit the amount of posts? Should people be allowed to make 55 threads in 10 minutes? There is no reason to make more than 3 threads in a day. And regardless...if there was a limit they wouldn't have to make it that strict.
You just said it. The name brings in a certain crowd. This game's name brings in sexters. If it was changed then maybe campus wouldn't have multiple people every hour asking for sexting, bf's, and gf's.
Why not limit the number of posts too? People can still spam a topic. The previous spammer just spammed 'bump' about 20 times in 4 minutes and this all happened an hour ago. With similar reasoning, the limit to posts doesn't have to be strict either.
The app has a terrible rep as is. Between the sexters and the lack of respect that apparently is the new "in" trait for noobs, There isn't any good fresh blood coming along. It also doesn't help that ive seen people, even mods, on other apps tell people to "go to pimd" because of their posts. So, I'd say there're too many issues to bother trying to fix these forums. But I guess if the active forumers enjoy them then they're "fixed". But I find It hard to believe many people enjoy the forums in this state excluding the noobs. And lol Az It's not meant as any kind of insult if you interpreted it as that. Just my opinion.
I sometimes enjoy forums but there are fixes that would take almost no time to implement that would help a lot but they will never be implemented.
Mature, you don't realize that it actually takes a level of work. I do a lot coding on computers, so I don't complain about new features taking too long to be added. It takes a long time for updates, especially for multiplayer games. It's not as easy as it looks.
