It all started when my friend, Jack, asked me to go on a hike with him, and of course, I said yes. No one knew, but I'd had a huge crush on Jack for over three years now. I kept thinking about this as we went up the mountain together. We walked to a little creek that we had found together 10 years ago. It was as beautiful and peaceful as always. Then, when I turned to look at Jack I saw that he was looking at me. "What?", I asked
"You look amazing", he said I smiled and blushed. I didnt know what else to do. Then we walked up to a cliff where we could look down at the town. Suddenly, I felt someone grab me, and I screamed. Jack started laughing. "Don't scare me like that!!", I said He hugged me and looked at me with his big blue eyes and said,"I would never hurt you" "I know", I said quietly wishing that moment could last forever. Then we just sat there on the edge of the cliff together for a few minutes. We eventually got up. So, there I was, wondering if my life could get any better, then I fell. I tried to grab Jack's hand but I couldn't grab it in time. I eventually hit the side of the cliff after what seemed like a million years. The strangest part was that I couldn't feel anything as I rolled down the side of the cliff. Then I stopped rolling, I couldn't see anything but I knew I was at the bottom of the mountain. I wondered if I was dead, but then I heard footsteps.

I had a feeling it was Jack when I heard him calling my name. "Grace! Say something!", said Jack I tried to say something but I couldn't. So I tried to move my fingers, it hurt like hell, but I wanted him to know that I was ok. I eventually moved my fingers and I guess Jack saw them because I heard him gasp then I heard him dial some stuff into his phone, but after that everything went black. I woke up in the hospital and saw Jack sleeping in the chair next to my hospital bed. I tried to poke him or nudge his arm to wake him up but I still couldn't move my arm. I decided that I should let him sleep anyways. I still couldn't move anything, so I looked down and I was shocked by what I saw. I had broken both legs, my right arm, and my whole body was cut up by rocks that I had hit while I rolled down the mountain. As I looked at my once beautiful body I almost started to cry. Then a doctor came in and screamed,"She's awake!! She's awake!!!" "Shhhh!! Your going to wake up Jack!", I said, shocked that I could talk again Then the doctor yelled,"And she can talk! It's a miracle!!" I was right, he woke up Jack. Jack looked at me and said,"I'm so sorry" "Why are you sorry??", I asked "For letting you fall", he said "That wasn't your fault.", I said "I promised I would never let u get hurt", said Jack "No", I said "You said that you would never hurt me" He kissed my cheek and said,"I'll be right back. I'm going to get some food, do u want anything?" I told him that I wasn't hungry, so he left. Then my mom came in and started to cry with happiness when she saw that I was awake. I told her not to worry about me. I hate it when people feel bad for me, and when people are worried about me.
