Chapter One: The End~ I rock back and forth. The breeze pushing my body. I can hear the wind whisper as it passes by my ear. I look down. The bottom of the waterfall looking as if it were an infinitely deep black hole. I just had to take one step. I just had to put one foot out and lean forward. I'd be done. Done with my life. Done with the torture. Done with the loneliness. Done with everything. My hands tense around the cold metal bar which was keeping me balanced. I let out a small chuckle at the lack of measures the town had gone through to ensure no one could get pass the barrier. "Unbelievable." I said to myself in slight disbelief. I didn't really expect much from my small town but this was just ridiculous. Two other people had tried jumping off of Turbine Falls and good ol' Hummings Town had yet to do anything about it. "Well, it's the moment of truth." I say under my breath. I let go of the bar, close my eyes, and begin to lean forward. "Alex!" A voice calls out. "Alex! Stop!" It sounds like a boy. Who could it be? I turn around, just as I do so a gust of wind comes and, since I'm already leaning, knocks me off balance! Everything seems to fade and I am beginning to be surrounded by darkness. As I fall I see a figure falling towards me. Who could that be? **Chapter two will be continued in part two! I hope you guys enjoyed this! ** I know it was short but it was my first good solo write... I think... Well, it was okay haha.
