  1. Ok so uhm, I made this thread to hear opinions. No arguing. Yes, theres gonna be touchy subjects. I will post one a day. So today's topic is

    Suicide
My story: Last winter I was very very depressed. I had lost everything. My best friend quit talking to me. One day when I was taking a bath I had hid a knife in the drawer. I stabbed myself in the stomach. My mom found me, knocked out from lack of blood. The aftermath was worse than it was the day before.

What my therapist says: you can tell stuff about how people attempt their suicide. If it's bloody you want someone else to suffer. If it envolves pills you know you need to leave but don't want others to suffer.

Opinion: Some people feel that their a failure and need to be removed from the earth. Sadly, this isn't the selfish type of suicide. This is the honest to goodness reason for suicide. If you've seeked help and it failed. Then yes, go ahead.
If you up and do it one day, no warning, no notes, no help. You are a selfish SOB!

    The end.-.

  2. People should never commit suicide. There is always help. You need to seek professional help, and if your imbalance is that bad you should be on medication in addition to going to therapy. If one medication doesn't fully help you, you need to let your therapist know so they can try something else. They can't read minds, they can only help you if you are open an honest with them.

People need to be aware of the signs of suicidal tendencies. There are always signs. No one just suddenly commits suicide.

  3. I honestly think life isn't for everyone.
I know that sounds terrible, but it's true. Some people just can't handle problems (Deaths, rejection, etc.). And if their pride is too big for medication or therapy, then they just cant handle life.

  4. I agree with woggles

  5. I agree with woggles

  6. And this is why I hate the stigma placed on depression and therapy. Granted it's gotten better recently and people are beginning to realize it's nothing to be ashamed of... However it's been so taboo to talk about it. It's a dirty little secret that you have to sweep under the rug. It's something that you have to ignore, because you have to be "normal".

Depression is a mental illness. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain. People who take their life with a severe imbalance are not capable of making that decision. The judgement is not clear. If that imbalance wasn't there, they would not have taken their life.

Everyone is meant to live. Depression is just something that needs to be treated, just like anything else that goes wrong with your body.

  7. Ya ur right but what if there afraid to tell someone because like u said it isn't normal to be like that.

  8. But it is normal to have depression, that's the thing. A vast majority of the human population experiences depression, at least at some point in their life.

  9. I've tried suicide before. The thing is, my parents refuse to see that there is a problem with me. And it is normal. Maybe not your "normal" but depression is a natural emotion. Everyone experiences it. Some more extreme than others. However, it's still there. I just think that people should realize they have a problem and go from there to try and fix it. After my 7th failed attempt, I learned that suicide really isn't the answer.

  10. Is bipolar a mental illness that causes depression or is it like a type of depression

  11. How did you try!?!?

  12. Bipolar is different than depression.
However if you're bipolar, you most likely have depression.

  13. I'm in depression right now (I'm 13) and it's been like 3 weeks and i didn't tell anyone yet. It's been like on and off before this i've been sad for 3 days then happy then sad and I think I'm bipolar but I'm not sure I didn't go to a doctor to find out

  14. It could be a little bit of an imbalance causing mood swings, it's common.

Did anything happen recently that could have triggered this? If you want to keep this private, feel free to follow me. But if you feel something isn't right, you should talk with someone. School counsilor, or trusted adult, if you can't talk to your parents.

  15. How did I try personally?

  16. I've tried before... A few times...

  17. Why do so many teenagers like suicide? ALL my friends quit talking to me once. I was isolated.

But whenever I got home and used my laptop, it cheered me up 

    Anti-social geek much?
