PROLOGUE Once upon a time... there was a little girl. This little girl lived with her parents. To curious is what they always described her as. Not curious, no. Just plain TO curious. They never described as anything more. Never beautiful, special, or sweet or anything like that. Just curious. Why? She never knew why. She just knew that her parents saw something in her that she didn't see herself. Something she would need to find. When she walked by any hall in her huge house the halls screamed curious at her. She still didn't know why they said this. She knew not of her name or where she came from or how she actually had parents at all. How did she not know? Well maybe this is why her parents thought of her as curious. She was different. She always thought that people treated her differently because of her parents but it may be because of her. She was curious correct? Well she decided that if the story was told this way she would need to play the part. The little girl walked around the house examining anything and everything she could find. She asked herself"Well now isn't this curious? How about this one? What does this do? Who is over there? What are they talking about?" These questions rang throughout the air as she walked and examined the objects and people that have surrounded her her whole life. What this little girl didn't realize is that there is some things that you don't need to be curious about. She made a mistake that she regrets dearly. She asked a question that no one could answer and that was told to not be asked. Of course, she used the excuse that she was curious. She walked up to her parents while they were in the study and they smiled down at there daughter not knowing the question she would ask. "Parents I need to ask of you a question," the girl said bravely. "Anything," they answered. "Where are we?" "Except for that. Run off darling. No more questions." "You said you would answer my question!" "Not THAT one." "And why won't you answer it?" "Stop being so stubborn and leave!" Stubborn... Thats a new word and she didn't like it. "No I am CURIOUS but that doesn't answer my question!" "STOP BEING SO PERSISTENT ON THIS!" "NO I WANT ANSWERS AND I WANT THEM NOW!" The parents had enough and they shot lighting at there daughter who jumped up. The lightning hit the ground and left a hole to which she fell from. She fell in to the sky and through the clouds who wouldn't help her. She fell down closer and closer to a planet. A planet known as earth. This little girl fell down and as she fell she aged. Soon she could see the planet but she was know not the same little girl. She was a teenager. How she didn't know but she did know it wasn't normal. This only left her more curious. As she fell her hair turned to a bleach blonde and her clothes turned to a bright ,white, flowing dress. Flames formed around her as she broke through the earths atmosphere and she smiled. She crashed to the ground in a heap but easily floated up and walked away as though it didn't happen. She began to think and think and think until she couldn't think anymore. She had no idea how to survive here and she needed to find someone and fast. She looked up to the sky and saw the moon twinkle. No! It couldn't be! She wasn't... But she was. She was the daughter of the moon. How and why she didn't know or care. She knew she needed a name and a name popped into her head. Curious. Curious would be her new name. Once upon a time... Curious, the now not so little girl, entered the world as the daughter of the moon. Not sent for a purpose but a reason. A reason that was currently unknown. ~~>~~>~~>~~>~~>~~> Hope you pplz enjoy
As I walked down the streets of this strange town, people stared at me. It was normal though for I am a curious thing to look at. I walked into the black walkway where the speeding colorful clouds would pass through. It was quite a remarkable sight to see. As I walked I heard shouting. Something about a girl going to get killed I do believe. That poor girl! I looked in front of me to see one of those strange colorful clouds coming my way. I shall stay still so I can feel this cloud for I do wonder where it's color and shape comes from. Suddenly I was pulled away from the colorful clouds and black walkway onto the grey walkway instead. Could I teleport? Maybe I could do it again! "Why were you in the middle of the road?!" I looked up to see a boy and I smiled. New friends! I wonder if they know of those strange clouds? "Why are the clouds staying in the black walkway? Shouldn't they be able to fly freely?" "Clouds? Is something wrong with you?!" "No of course not! I just came here to this planet you see. For I know nothing of this place. Would you like to explain?" "No I think you are just plain crazy. Come on I will take you to a friend. He will know what to do." With that the strange boy took me to a big building with many windows. Was this his palace or was it his friends? "Is this your palace? It is quite amazing." "No this is called apartments. My friend lives in some of these." "Does this friend own this apartment you speak of?" "Just one room." "How many rooms are there?" "A lot." A lot could be any number! Maybe I could explore later? Yes that's what I will do. For the mean time I should be more curious about things. We walked in the buildings and into a strange transporter with many buttons on the inside and quite annoying music playing. "Why shall we need this transporter?" "This is not a transporter. It is called an elevator. It carries us up and down so we don't have to use the stairs." This made no sense. How could such a device be used for such simple meaning? Impossible! I was quiet as we walked out of the strange 'elevator' and down a long hallway and to a door. The boy opened the door without knocking and asking if our presence was okay and if we were allowed in. How rude! I stood outside the door and put my hands together in front of me. I watched as another boy appeared from the shadows and looked shocked to see me. The boy from earlier whispered something in the new boys ear and he looked at me with sympathy. I wonder why? "It is rude to give one a look of sympathy when they need none," I commented. "Sorry...," he said sounding unsure. "It is very much okay for you are forgiven for your lack of manners." "MY lack of manners?! You are in my house and I have no idea who you are!" "Actually mister I am standing outside of your house and in the hall of an apartment. It is quite strange that one does not own the whole place but it is choice of the owners to make such decisions." The boy was laughing while the new boy gaped at me. What did I say? Did I do something wrong? "Okay then..." "Now I shall knock lightly on the door and ask of you to come in and the polite thing would be to let me in." I lightly knocked and asked if I could come in and he motioned for me to come in which I did. Strange place this world was. There is so many questions and so much time to get answers! Although I do miss home some. I wonder if they miss me to? "You are just so... What's the word...," the new boy said trying to place it. "Curious," the other boy who brought me suggested. "YES! You finally understand why I was sent here!" "To be... Curious?" "Yes! That is me! Hello world Curious is here," I said while walking around triumphantly and used hand motions. "So your name is Curious?" "Yes and it is rude to not tell me yours!" "Oh well I am Anthony," the boy who brought me said"And that is Chris," he said pointing to the new boy. "Well Anthony and Chris I must be leaving soon to find a living quarter. Maybe a nice sixty room palace of course my old one was bigger but it shall do." "Umm I don't think you told us exactly where you came from," Chris said trying to get me away from something called a 'tv' that is apparently important. "I come from the moon of course! The moons daughter. Such a big task. I was only five yesterday but I landed here in a ball of fire. It didn't hurt though." "Okay I think you need to visit a different friend of ours," Anthony said before they dragged me out and into a big yellow cloud that had words on it. Something like taxi. Is that what they call transporter clouds? They arrived to a white building which they told me was called a 'hospital' where they would help me. I smiled at the nice desk lady and she growled at me! How rude! They brought me to a big white room with padding all over and it felt just like clouds. "Are these made of clouds? Those poor things! How could you murder a poor defenseless cloud? My parents wouldn't like to hear that. You are lucky they sent me here instead of themselves." They put pointy things in me and a whole bunch of machines where took in and out of the room. How curious those things were! They had many functions and some were learning to talk! Of course they only made a beep noise but it was a start correct? Once they were done they began whispering and I hated it until I heard a couple words and I began listening in as best as possible. "Yes. I think it is best to send her to Charlie. He will take care of her." "Who is this Charlie you speak of?" "Another doctor in another state sweetie. He will help you. We can't seem to find anything wrong with your brain and your memory looks perfect." "I shall leave to go see this doctor Charlie of a different state and would you please tell Anthony and Chris I bid my farewells?" "... Sure." With that they took me and put me on something called an 'airplane'. It is another wonderful transporter device that is taking me to doctor Charlie of a different state. Here they said I would be happy and safe. I hope I can be curious around here. That's the only way I can be happy and safe. I saw the clouds and smiled. At least these clouds were safe. They wouldn't be killed by those people in the 'hospital' because I was here and I would protect them. ~~>~~>~~>~~>~~>~~> Just by the way the colorful clouds were cars...
As the 'airplane' landed I jumped up and was immediately pulled back. Who is holding me back? Let me go! I looked down and noticed a black belt across me. What is this new device that helps keep me safe? There was a loud voice sounding out but I couldn't understand. They must speak a different language than us. Soon the device released me and I ran away and out the tunnel. I saw a little spin machine that had bags all over. People were reaching down and grabbing the bags and leaving. Why are they taking something that is not theirs? "CURIOUS? YOU THINK I AM CURIOUS AND THAT IS WHY I DATED YOU?! I LOVE YOU! I AM NOT JUST CURIOUS AND TRYING SOMETHING NEW!" "WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD SHOW IT SOMETIME!" I heard the two people fighting and I ran over when I heard my name. They must want me correct? "Excuse me but I am Curious. I noticed you two fighting. What can Curious do?" They looked shocked but the girl immediately began to talk"Make him stop! He thinks I don't love him! He thinks I am being curious!" She cried and hugged me and I hugged her back and smiled"Well we can change that," and I snapped my fingers. The boy immediately began apologizing and I left triumphantly. I did a good thing correct? So I should get a prize of some sort yes? I don't think they will give me a prize though. People in this world seem a little mean. Maybe I can change them! "CURIOUS WHERE ARE YOU?!" I heard my name again! Why are they calling my name? I rushed over to see a man with a boy and girl with him. I smiled and turned my head to the side a little. "How may I help you?" "Um well I am Charlie..." "DOCTOR CHARLIE OF A DIFFERENT STATE?!" He nodded"Yes I suppose," but then I realized what I did and gasped. "I am so sorry! I interrupted you! I will never do it again! Please don't punish me," I begged. "Why would I punish you," he asked while laughing. What did I say? I guess that he must not follow the ways of being punished. "Anyways, this is my niece, Sarah, and my nephew, Willuam, but he prefers to be called Will. They are twins." "Hello Will and Sarah! It is nice to be of your service," I smiled. "Oh no sweetheart. You aren't serving us," Charlie chuckled. "Than what am I doing?" "You will be learning how to be a teenager. How to do normal things and learn how to use technology. That is where Sarah and Will come in." "What shall Sarah and Will be doing with me?" "They will help you. They are nineteen and out of highschool so you can't go there to blend in and mingle but they will help you and I will come examine you when I have days off from work. For now you will live with my sister. Also we need to know for medical reasons, what is your age?" "I don't know I suppose I am supposed to be five still but maybe I am older for you see I aged on my way here." "Yeah.... Well you look around seventeen or eighteen since you are so short so which would you like to be?" "SEVENTEEN PLEASE! OH I WILL HAVE SO MUCH FUN EXPLORING THE WORLD WITH MORE TIME!" I put a hand over my mouth and laughed a little at my sudden outburst. We all walked out and to a 'car' which I think is just a word for a colored cloud. They have really interesting ways on this planet! On the car ride home we passed a sign. It said 'welcome to Alabama' or something like that. We went by so fast I didn't get time to read it! Amazing how these clouds move! "We are here," Charlie exclaimed rather loudly. I slowly got out of the' car 'and walked towards the door where everyone had walked in and knocked lightly. They stared at me in a curious expression. Well I am curious to them aren't I? "May I come in?" "Of course sweetie you don't even have to ask," a plump woman laughed. "But it is the polite way correct?" "Aren't you a sweetie! Come on in! Dinner is ready!" I walked in and followed everyone to a table and sat while keeping my elbows off the table and not reaching across the table and sitting still with a napkin in my lap for this is the way I ate my dinner at home. As we ate I became more and more curious about where this woman's husband was. He was suppose to be here yes? "Excuse me for being rude kind woman but I would like to ask, where is your husband?" "H-he left us. A long time ago." "Thats awful! When your married your supposed to be together forever!" "Yeah but he didn't want forever," she sighed. I ran over and hugged her as she cried. I didn't mean to make her feel sad but sometimes it does help to let things out correct? "You may leave dear," she whispered for everyone had already left and I was waiting to be excused. "Thank you Mrs." "Call me Holly!" I smiled"Goodnight Holly!" I walked in a hall and sat down and closed my eyes. I was fine sitting in the hall. They gave me a living quarter and I shall respect that. Something is shaking me but what? Maybe it's a person! I should look and check. I opened my sleepy eyes to see Will. What was he doing? They wanted me here yes? "Hello Will!" "Hey Curious. Why are you trying to sleep in a hall?" "You all wanted me here correct?" "No you have a room. We made it just for you!" "Will you kindly show me this room? I don't know my way around." He chuckled"Sure. Come on," and he kindly held out his hand to help me up. Finally, a decent person on this planet. He led me through the dark and to a room. I didn't pay attention to much except the bed for I was awfully tired. I needed lots of rest and I wasn't going to get that standing up correct? "Goodnight Will!" "Goodnight Curious." With that I went to sleep, dreaming of the colorful clouds on the black walkway and the rainbow that was displayed on them. ~~>~~>~~>~~>~~> HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!!
I woke up right when the sun came up. That's how I usually wake up. Maybe I can make some of this 'food' they speak of before they awake! I smiled and walked downstairs after getting myself clean and took care of my personal hygiene. What did Holly say those white oval things and the flat disks and rectangle brown things are? I shall ask later. I got all of my ingredients and began cooking this 'food' and hummed one of my favorite earth songs. It was the one from the elevator. I wonder if I could add my moon songs to these earth songs? Yes! That's what I shall do! So I began to sing"Hush little child, close your eyes, sleep tight, and tell your dreams hi. Morning time, wake up, sun is out, and tell your dreams goodbye. Hush little child, don't you cry, you will be alright. One little fall, one little cut, one little child. Don't you scream, don't you shout, and you shall hear the whispers of the moon. Hush little child, only whispers, and no curling into yor cacoon. Come on out, have some fun, and sing to the moon. Sing to the moon, sing to the stars, sing to the sun, and let me sing to you. Goodnight little child, close your eyes, for it shall all be alright." When I was done with the 'goodnight' lullaby I had also finished breakfast food! Two in one! Must I wake everyone up? Yes I must! I walked out slowly and walked back towards the hall. I saw a sign that said 'HOLLY'. Yes, I shall awake Holly first! I walked in and shook her a little while she slowly woke up and looked at me, worried for what I could want right now. "Mrs. Holly I made some breakfast with some of this new earth food you told me of." "Really? Oh you didn't have to do that! Thank you!" I smiled"Your welcome Mrs.Holly." Then I walked to Sarah's room and knocked on her door. She answered and looked at me strangely. "Breakfast!" With that said, I walked to Will's room and knocked and when he didn't answer, I walked in. "Will breakfast time!" He still didn't move. Is this how all human creatures are? If so, they must be the laziest of all creatures I have ever known! "WILL IF YOU DON'T GET UP I WILL SEND THOSE BLASTED MOON CREATURES ON YOU!" "Go away," he grumbled before turning over. So that is how human creature wants to play yes? I can play to human creature and it will be fun! I jumped up and did a moon dive, landing on his back and started to shake him screaming"GET UP WILL!" He got up after about ten minutes and I stood up and brushed myself off"I am sorry for being so rude but breakfast is ready and I always eat at the table with others like family does." I walked downstairs and smiled at Mrs.Holly and Sarah who were gawking at the food on the table. Have they never had breakfast? When Will walked down the stairs he also gaped at everything. Maybe I did something wrong? Oh I hope not! After breakfast Sarah had a announcement. "We are going to take Curious shopping!" "What is this 'shopping' you speak of," I asked confused. "It is where you get clothes. You know what clothes are right?" "Yes. They are the materials you wear over your skin!" "Yes! Okay let's go!" *Three hours later* "Are we done with this 'shopping' yet? I very much dislike it!" "Yeah I guess we are done," Sarah sighed "Was it fun?" "IT WAS LIKE BEING IN THE MOON DUNGEON!" She laughed and we began searching for Will who was talking to some people. YAY! More friends! I smiled as we walked up and all of they're jaws dropped. Oh no! I did something wrong didn't I?! How do I always do something wrong?! "Will. Friends. Come on its time to go Will. We have to take her back. She says shopping is like being in a moon dungeon." They all laughed and almost fell on the floor. Do they not have moon dungeons here? "Who is this Will? She sure is a beauty," one of the guys said while licking his lips. He scared me! "Oh how rude of me! Not introducing myself! I am Curious! Who are you all?" "We are friends of Will's , Curious," the same guy said and I frowned. I turned to Will"It is rude not to introduce me to your friends correct?" "Well yeah but...," he started but Sarah gave a little 'uhhm' noise. "Sarah let us get to know your little friend here," the guy said. "Jarrod, this chick thinks she is from a different planet," Will exclaimed while throwing his hands up. "The moon," I corrected"And I don't think, I know. I told you I was punished by being sent here! May I ask a question for my name is Curious." "Yeah go ahead sweetie," Jarrod smiled. "Don't call me sweetie," I snapped and then quickly covered my mouth before starting to speak again"You called me a chick yes? Aren't chicks the baby of a chicken? If so are you calling me a baby chicken as an insult?" They all burst out laughing"Why are you all always laughing at me? It is most rude!" They didn't answer and continued to laugh. How rude! "HOW DARE YOU LAUGH AT ME WHEN I JUST LOST MY HOME AND FAMILY?! I MAY NOT KNOW MUCH OF THIS WORLD BUT I DO KNOW THAT YOU SHOULD NOT MAKE FUN OF SOMEONE WHO HAS NOTHING AND NO ONE! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!" They all went silent and looked at me shocked. Good. They should have been taught properly long ago. I snapped my fingers and disappeared. I transported myself to the house and back to where they were standing. "H-how did you do that," Will asked. "I told you. I am the daughter of the moon. Do you doubt my knowledge now?" They all shook their heads' no 'in a really fast manor. I should be more strict to them yes? "Good. I am sorry for being so extremely rude but I couldn't take it anymore." I transported back to the house and in front of Mrs.Holly. She looked really shocked. I wonder why? "Hello Mrs.Holly," I smiled and walked up to my room for a nap for my powers wear me out. ~~>~~>~~>~~>~~> I would have had it posted sooner but earlier when I was writing I had to hide because I thought a robber was trying to break in and the worst part.... I was home alone it turned out it wasn't a robber but someone did ring the doorbell....
