Ombrelune Asylum was founded in the early 1900’s by Dr. Abraham Holmes and his wife, Florence. Located in the outskirts of France, the asylum housed the mentally ill up until the 1940’s. At first, Holmes' intentions were good, until he himself went mad. He began to believe every patient was a character from one of Edgar Poe's stories, believing that recreating their “story” would heal them. Rumors began to surface about Ombrelune, claiming mistreatment and horrifying experiments being done to the patients. In the midst of the scandal, Dr. Holmes shut the asylum down, abandoning it indefinitely. After six decades, Abraham passed away, leaving his abandoned dreams to his grandson, Foster. Instead of demolishing the building and selling the property for profit, Foster decided to return it to it’s original glory. After growing up with a mentally “incompetent” sister, it was only natural that Foster decided to take up psychiatry and clinical neurology, hiring a team of workers to refurbish the building. It is now 2013, and Ombrelune Asylum is finally up and running. Will Dr. Foster Holmes be able to succeed and make his grandfather proud, or will the new batch of crazies be too much for him to handle?
