If you're watching football and see all the pink ribbons, that's because October is breast cancer awareness month (in the US). I cannot give this topic the thoughtful commentary it deserves, but I can offer some good advice: Ladies, feel your boobs. Guys, feel your lady's boobs. But guys, don't feel another guy's lady's boobs. Cancer sucks.
Please don't make a joke of this. My friend passed away from cancer a couple of weeks ago, we are still hurting over her loss Cancer is a very serious, painful illness and should not be taken lightly.
I'm not making a joke. The stigma of breast exams is a big reason people don't find out about their own cancer. Making it part of your monthly routine could save your life.
Not referring to breast exams, I agree with you women-and men-should do routine self-breast exams frequently as breast cancer can affect men as well.
Im wearing a pink shirt at work today and my bracelet says I boobies! So yeah ladies get your lazy asses and got yourselves checked out.
Abby breast cancer month early in the year for Australia, which I don't understand why every country can't have it at same time any way, I've lost two of my relatives from breast cancer, with a cancer that's not well known and having months like this will hopefully increase donations for the hard working scientist out there working their asses off to find a better treatment and find it earlier. But also note, breast cancer isn't the only cancer, why have a month targeted solely on one cancer? Why not have a month for all cancer? The way it works is so confusing. No matter what cancer it is, no cancer is good and should never be wished upon any one, it's a serous thing that takes lives and destroys families. And all those who are battening cancer, I wish you best of luck with you battle, never give up on the fight.
Girls check your boobies! Boys cop a feel of those balls! Any lumps, bumps or anything that's changed then let your doc have a feel too.
