Pointing out Moderator 'mistakes' on forums. I would just like to say that I don't believe it smart or helpful to do this. For people who do this, what is your reasoning for embarrassing a moderator, or posting things like the thread about Spiny, which could encourage others to bash a moderator? I'm pretty sure you were all raised hearing the sayings "No one is perfect", or "Everyone makes mistakes". Maybe you should all remember that Moderators spend their pimd time everyday to HELP you all. They try to help, and no matter the constant disrespect, or things like that spiny thread, they continue. How would you feel If people treated you badly because you tried to help? I wouldn't even want to do the job anymore. Oh wait, I'm don't do it. You all have no idea of what you people do and say about the moderators actually does to them. It makes them feel extremely bad. What if there were no moderators at all? At this point in time, you can have conversations with people in campus. If they weren't there, campus would slowly revert to what it was a few months ago; almost every post being silenceable. So I propose this: If you have a problem, take PROPER action, and email support. Screenshots could help. Or If you're confused about something, They'll clarify. I hope this all makes sense. In my head it's just a bunch of words since I'm camping and I can't stay focused. Anyways, have a good day everyone, and, try to mature a bit.
Excuse me, casually sitting here watching a match between a female and a male. Anyone up for popcorn?
I half agree, Roy. Mods are absolutely underappreciated, and get lots of undeserved harassment and criticism, but I think pointing out mod mistakes on forums is an alright idea as long as it's done constructively. If you're pointing out a mistake in order to clarify points in the grey areas of the ToU, or to get mods on the same page on certain silenceable offenses, then a single forum thread specifically for those types of things is good. Multiple or harassing threads, however, or ones that serve no purpose other than bashing a particular mod, should be discouraged.
