The cold, hard, wooden desk was merely an object within my presence. A small part in reality, yet full of details that only the best would look for. But of no importance to me. The people around me are either gloomy or happy, I look at them all grinning because I know all about them. It's funny how I could read people, a gift. The bell, with it's sharp ring echoed signaling for lunch break. I slid out of my desk, my black loafers clattering once on the ground as I stood up. The brightly colored room made me pop out. My brown eyes shown little emotion as I walked out of the room observing everyone. I walked slowly to the lunch room, my gray suit and black tie made me stand out among the other high schoolers. I was the odd one, the one with the special gift. I walked in, seeing the lunch lady dressed in her blue apron and white suit. I slowly approached her holding out my hands to grab my tray. "He may have cheated on you, but you'll find better." I said noticing her worried, and sad body language and expression along with her missing wedding ring she wore all the days before. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My inspiration for this is The Mentalist. However, I didn't want to copy the show. So, I put it in a high school setting. I made it original. If you're here for a cliche high school romance, this is not the story for you.
I walked to my table, and sat my blue tray on the stained wood table. I sat alone, as usual. I liked it this way, I studied people. Guessed their thoughts, situations. I could tell who was having affairs with who, who was thinking of who. It came easy. I read them like a book, and I knew more and they couldn't do anything about it. A girl walked up to me, presumably bothered. She was nervous, pushing herself. I could read she was drawn towards me, she had an obvious love intrigue with me. She sat down and her red dress lifted up to sit on the stole next to me. Her long, black hair fell into her eyes. She was a nervous wreck. She quickly composed herself and murmured the one word she could. "Hi." She said nervously. "You like me, don't you?" I said nonchalantly. "How'd you."- I cut her off quickly. "I read your attraction towards me." I said calmly. "What reason do I have to like you?" She asked defensively. "Well, you think I'm attractive. Your pupils expanded approximately 45% when you looked at me. Also you kind of made it obvious. Defensiveness is a sign of lying dear." I said, smiling my childish grin as if to let her know I already knew everything. "So? I think a lot of people are attractive!" She said getting a little irritated. I spun around facing my body directly towards her, pointing my finger at her. "You are being defensive again. Plus you left out the detail of me reading your body language. You dressed nice today. Red dress, hair done. Kind of annoyed since it won't stay the way you want it. You have your make up perfectly applied. You even have matching shoes to tie it all together. So you were obviously on a special occasion, and it was apparently trying to ask me out. But since I read everything about you, you are losing interest because you believe in being spontaneous. I can see it in your face. You're also getting angry, mad that you already know this won't work." I explained, her jaw dropping slightly before clenching her teeth and saying the only words she could think of. "Next time a girl has a crush on you, at least act like you don't know everything about her!" She said angrily and walked off. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is basically showing his abilities... Blah blah... Haha
Not at all. Psych focuses on small details. The Mentalist focuses more on body language and psychology. However, both do share similar abilities to see small observations.
THEN YOU DON'T KNOW QUALITY IF YOU LIKE ANY DETECTIVES OTHER THAN JAPANESE BATMAN OVER SHAWN AND GUS!
There's at least one mention/picture/actual pineapple in each episode. I know where all of them are. That's how obsessed I am!!
You avoided the subject. You see? You know I'm right. The Mentalist is way more intelligent. In fact, the two shows shouldn't be compared.
Shawn is smarter, it takes very huge intellegence to solve a major crime going off small details like how he chewed his come or which finger he presseed a button with.
