  1. this is just a basic thread that’s for movie recommendations, give us your best movie recs and small synopsis 
(if there’s a similar thread, which i haven’t seen, feel free to lock)

my fave genre is zombie flicks, so i really recommend:
? shaun of the dead - a hilarious zombie movie based in an england pub
? zombieland - also a comedy, 4 survivors band together despite all their trust issues
? train to busan - one of the best zombie movies out there, based in korea

BUT if you’re looking for a good chick flick, i recommend
? the kissing booth - two friends set up a kissing booth before prom
? nottinghill - a famous actress and a bookshop owner fall for each other
? mamma mia - abba songs throughout, need i say more?
? the sweetest thing - somewhat séxual comedy of friends who go on a road trip to crash a wedding

anyone got more recommendations for people? i tried to think of obscure ones!

  2. Hmm. I like action films with the right amount of violence and whatnot. I think the best action movie I've ever seen was Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning with Dolph Lundgren. So yeah.

    Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning

  3. Ooh, what’s it about?

  4. been awhile since i last saw but basically Captain America doing martial arts with guns and explosions. stuff like that.

  5. Oh! I also forgot 80’s movies!
    ? the breakfast club
    ? pretty in pink
    ? weird science
    ? st elmo’s fire

  6. Just some movies that I'd never get tired of watching:

    • Gone Girl
    • Spirited Away
    • White Chicks (Im ashamed I know.)
    • Saw series
    • Wreck it Ralph(excited for sequel)
    • the hunger games trilogy( taught me a lot about war
    • Coraline
    • A Quiet Place
    • A Few Good Men

There's still a lot but I keep forgetting them.

  7. i really only like horror movies but even then 70% of horror movies are garbage fails :(

  8. Spirited Away is sooo good

  9. I have seen a fair share of chick flicks with various ex girlfriends but there is one that actually turned out to be one of my favorite movies to this day, I even bought the Blu-Ray for it. And I dont really buy movies.

    "About Time"

  10. Yes it was awesome

  11. Ikr? Plus it had a social issue hidden deep within the movie!

  12. I wanna watch that! I’m gonna see if it’s on Netflix now that you’ve brought it up oml

  13. I dont think it is tbh

  14. White Chicks

    that movie had me rolling

  15. ? The Hot Chick - so funny, one of the most underrated “chick-flicks” ever

  16. There's this Anime movie and I think everyone should give it a try regardless of them watching Anime or not.

It's called Your Name/Kimi No Na Wa

The story is amazing. I don't want to give out descriptions since it's better to see with an open mind. Try it and let me know!

  17. omg, I actually watched this,5 cm per second and garden of words together one night last year.
I can't explain the feeling I got while watching these movies.
If you loved that movie try watching the anime 'A place further beyond the universe.'

  18. It’s kinda popular but the first anime I ever loved is Bleach. And it’s so slept on compared to Naturo and One Piece, considering it’s just as good.

  19. These might’ve been suggested already, but I’m a horror movie fanatic! Here are some recommendations from moi:

?Hush - a deaf girl who lives alone has to fight for her life when a killer appears. (Super good!!!)

? The Boy - a woman is hired to take care of a child, but if only it were that simple. (Super good!!!)

? Before I Wake - a boy’s dreams come to life when he sleeps, but so do his nightmares.

? The Babadook - a seemingly innocent popup book brings along a not so innocent or kind monster. (Super good!!!!)

?The Open House - a family wanted to get back on their feet, but people around them aren’t so welcoming.

?The Babysitter - although it’s comedic, this movie still has some pretty gory aspects and jump scares. A boy has a babysitter, but he when he wakes up one night, he realizes she is indeed in a satanic cult.

? Teeth - another kind of funny movie but still creepy af, this girl has teeth somewhere you, uh, shouldn’t normally have them..

?Satanic - a group of friends are looking for fun but get pulled into a horrific turn of events that seem to never end.

?Last Shift - A woman starts her job at a closing down police station, one that is the home of some terrifying deaths. (Super good!!!)
