  1. I'm crazy, I know for writing another story. But I was bored. Ha-ha. So tell me what you think!

    London, England,

Inah tightened the dress on Claire's back. It was the color of cream, strapless, and flowed across the red carpet. Inah would have liked to have such a dress for herself, but she was a lowly servant, a forgotten maid.

"O-ow!" Claire whined, "That hurts, girl! Do you plan to strangle me to death?"

Inah murmured a quick sorry and lossened the dress.

Girl. That was all she was. She finished helping Claire get into her dress and picked up a basket of laundry and headed to the washing room.

Her footsteps made noises as she wandered around the castle. It was magnificent, as any castle should be. She entered the room and lay the basket beside a heap of other laundry baskets.

"Knock, knock." a deep voice said, at the entrance of the washing room.

"Prince Thomas!" Inah jumped to her feet and curstied, shaking and probably blushing. It was useless to deny that she was madly in love with Prince Thomas.

He was everything she couldn't have.

She was just a GIRL after all.

    "Hello, Inah." he said, smiling.

"You know my name?" she blurted without thinking and immediately regretted it. Maids were not to speak that way to royalty. But the handsome prince didn't seem to mind, "I know all the names of beautiful women in the castle."

Inah felt her blush go deeper.

"Anyway, I just came to drop this off." he gestured to a basket full of clothes.

"L-let me get that for you." Inah rushed forward and got the basket, setting it beside her already overflowing pile of clothes.

Prince Thomas saw the pile, "Do you need some help?"

Inah shook her head, "I couldn't possibly ask..."

    "I insist."

  2. Carry on, I feel like I need to be in this seeing as I'm from London, England and was born in the same hospital as Prince William and Prince Harry

  3. Your from england? Wicked awesome. Anyway, I'm sorry if I disappoint you with London England stuff, okay? :)

  4. Claire glanced at herself in the full length mirror. Ugh, she looked so fat.

    Knock, knock

She gestured with her eyes to a small maid. Well, go! Open it!

    It was a letterman.

"Miss Clarisse, a letter from your father has arrived for you."

The maid took it with shaking hands and handed it to Claire. She snatched it and tore it open. Her eyes scanned the page fast.
The maid saw her eyes open in bewilderment and her face pale. She looked down quickly and took a few steps back. She did want to be caught staring.

"You. There." she said to the maid.

    The maid looked up, scared.

    "Get my sister."

    The maid scampered away, terrified.

A few minutes later, Claire was sitting on her queen-sized pink bed, tapping her foot.

Stupid maid, she thought, was her sister that hard to find?

Sighing, she stood up and paced the wide halls to her sister's room.

"Tanya?" she didn't bother knocking; she had waited long enough.

Tanya was sitting at the edge of her bed, trying on a red high-heeled shoe.

She glanced up when she saw Claire, "Oh, hello Claire."

Claire rolled her eyes and sat down on a red leather sofa, "I ask a maid to summon you and sit here trying on shoes?"

Tanya met her eyes, puzzled, "A maid? I had no idea that you summoned me."

Claire's eyes showed cofusion, then anger, "How dare she! Disobeyed my orders, going to fire that girl...."

"What did you want from me anyway, sister?"

Claire stopped murmuring to herself and met Tanya's eyes once again, "I got a letter. Dad....he's getting married."

  5. *she did NOT want to be caught staring.

    Stupid typos.

  7. Thanks Joyce ;)

  8. Tanya! Claire! Dear! Come hug your dad!" the king opened his arms wide, smiling.

Both girls ignored the gretting and stormed in front of him.

"You're getting MARRIED?!" Claire said, her eyes blazed with fury.

King Patrick grimaced, "Yes, I knew sending you the letter would be risk. But, hunnie, can we discuss this somewhere else? Not here?" he cast his eyes around the hall. There were coachmen unloading his trunks, maids swarming around; they all were listening in curiously.

"Ha! No need to make this private. I'm sure you've told them all before us!" Claire lashed out.

"Now, it wasn't like that-" he tried to explain.

"You never told us, Dad." Tanya said quietly.

King Patrick blinked. It was usually Claire who was all out. Tanya was more like her mother, quiet, always deep in thought whereas Claire, on the other hand, spoke her mind and intimudated people. They didn't even look like sisters! Tanya had smooth wavy blonde hair and silky blue eyes like her mother. And Claire, like her father, had chocolate brown hair that was long and curled with piercing dark eyes.

"And I'm sorry. It was...." the king said.

"Rude? Inappropriate? Daring?" Claire recited, waving her arms.

    "...unexpected." the king finished.

"Was it even out of love?" Tanya said, more loudly this time that some maids glanced their way.

"Y-Yes. Of course it was!" the king knew he was fighting a losing battle. He knew his girls would never forgive him for not telling them sooner.

"I don't believe you." Normally the line would've come out from Claure, but it came from Tanya with a confident and strong voice.
    Even Claire looked shocked.

"Let's go, Claire." Tanya said tugging her sister's arm. They both walked away; Tanya leading and Claire looking back at their very shocked father.

  10. "Please pass me the salt, Tanya." King Patrick said, clearing his throat and looking at his daughter.

Tanya ignored him, looking down and staring at her hands.

    "Claire?" the king said.

Claire ignored him too, her head high.

Sighing, the king stood up and, not the most kingly thing to do, reached forward, grabbing the salt.

The tension had been like this for a day now, and it didn't go unnoticed. Maids refrained from saying anything about the king to the princesses and vice versa.

    Ting, ting, tiiing

Jose, the second-in-comand, was drumming a fork across his glass, signaling everyone's attention.

"I would like to congratukte King Patrick to his engagement to Queen Wimona Ghezma of France, may their mariage be like the one of the king and his late beloved wife, Queen Esthia. A moment of silence please."

A hush fell across the room.

Jose smiled, "And now, a toast to the engagement!" he raised his glass. Everyone else raised their glass, but it very obvious when the two girls didn't raise theirs.

Then, without any warning, a piercing scream cut through the air.

Inah was all smiles as she walked to the laundry room. Oh, a day ago, she had been here.

    With...Prince Thomas.

    Prince Thomas

She recalled the day yesterday. He had helped her wash until they were both on a full-fleger water fight. It was...fun? Embarrassing? It was..magical. Magical.

    Totally, blissfully, magical.

She set down the basket on the table.

She went to the supply closet and picked a box detergent. Now, where was the sponge?

She thought for a moment. The other closet. She flung open the closet.

A heavy thing hit her, flunging her backwards. The heavy weight pushed her, she was one of the smallest people in the castle; most of the people were heavier than her. She pushed the thing away, gasping for air. What was that thing? She turned and looked at it. And screamed.
