I mean that since PvP has been reworked, stat items don't count for farming anymore. So why do people buy them?
Since misc cap has been introduced, everyone has a goal to work for now. I think many realized how much theirs sux. Buying misc has goten painfully difficult recently.
You mean main story rewards, and the answer is that they are very common and as such, you can get more stats for less of a cost. By definition, they're the cheapest and trashiest items in the game, and their popularity is a constant precisely because of the affordability of their stats That isn't to say that rare items aren't valued, but people tend to see a bigger number on an item and prefer it to something whose rarity they don't know about, can't read, and require specialist knowledge for.
This is so true. Like, I remember when many of the most desired showcase items didn’t even have stats. Or when you had to collect multiple different items each hunt. Some examples being the Mixtape or the cat suit hunt items/movie set hunt items I tried to sell my mixtape to see if it held its value, and virtually nobody wanted it due to it not having any stats
Tbh, I like collecting items. That’s the main reason I buy, bonus to get the strength in pvp. But I am collector. even irl. Sooo I deffo would have been interested in non value misc if I knew more existed and if older players wanted to sell it.
^ many people do collections. Apparently today I sold someone the final sheep in their sheep themed showcase collection, and I've seen many people who try to collect cats/dogs but zzz boring. I saw a shoe and sock collector, a glasses collector, and I'm surprised that nobody collects certain colours of items (though I think some girls might collect pink/purple items). There are so many items now that you can have impressive and large collections if items following themes and interests.
I collect mostly blue items and other specifics. My showcase is full of the items I collect and I have an alt as my storage for unwanted ones (so I can trade them for what I collect easily). I think one of the reasons I started collecting specific items is that I don't really want a showcase with too many pages. I'm even stressed out rn that mine's 11 pages already.
