Milo Yiannopoulos

  1. What do you all think of "the most fabulous supervillain on the Internet"?

  2. I've seen some of his videos but a long time ago and well I can see why the right loves him the most. He's proving exactly what many conservatives/righties believe. That "all liberals/leftists are irrational, emotional human beings that don't use facts when they debate" when he triggers far far leftists/ stereotypical "SJW" who attack him with the typical "you're racist/homophobic" remarks, and want to shut him down by causing riots over his opinion.

I'll add that, many of these righties are living in a bubble because many liberals use facts and are quit rational when they debate but anyway.

Some of his points/arguments aren't even right and can be illogical. he uses statistics in his arguments and this of course makes them seem more credible but then he adds some unscientific bullshít here and there to make his argument seem right and many eat it up. Or they simply just don't care and just like that he triggers people.

Either way, people like milo will always be popular as long as there are sensitive people who get offended by everything, and want to shut down free speech.

  3. It's about highlighting the meme of the opposite extremity for your audience and asserting your opinion as right, because theirs is wrong.

This is sort of the nature of most mainstream internet political media.
The left memeing on the right, the right memeing on the left, and neither side providing strong arguments to actually combat important issues.

The mental strain of beneficial discussions/arguments between those two sides, closer to the middle, on the points of actual contention and conflict is too much for the average viewer. Milo's fans don't have sociology/political science degrees; they're political tourists.

I'm find Ben Shapiro a better advocate of the right wing on many issues, but he does become a bit of a meme on some issues and is forced to oppose the "rampant left" on some American Right-wing issues.

Left/Right is social in terms of Conflict Theory vs. Functionalism, Capitalism vs. Communism, and many views on issues are given a left or right-wing status arbitrarily by the media, such as gun control and freedom of speech.

Neither of these topics are necessarily viewed one way or the other under conflict theory of functionalism. In faft, the opposite prescription may be found than what you think is most logical.

Political commentators within America, or any culture/country/political climate may be swayed by their fanbase and subscribers into taking a stance on this issue because they identify as left or right-wing and must therefore, in the oppositional nature of their culture, oppose the other side. This may also be a result of the political structure of a 2-party system in which, if one side takes a stance on an issue, to gain votes from those who disagree with them, you take the opposite stance.

I lost my train of thought and can't be bothered to do better. So in Summary: Milo makes fun of the ridiculous memes in the American Political "Far Left Wing" and asserts that they're wrong. His criticisms aren't contentious. He discredits ideas/myths that are only really perpeturated by stupidity, but asserts his as right, when those who he needs to discredit to actually assert the points he wishes to make are too advanced, require too much evidence, and too much processing power for the average person to get. He takes care of his audience by memeing others constantly, simply stating and restating his own cliché views.

He's a memer and a meme. His rhetoric is only as strong as the peripherality of the discourse he engages in, needs.
