  1. I've heard the best way to memorize something is to write it down repeatedly. This hasn't failed me in the past and I'm bored now so I'll do it on here for you all.

As some of you know I am a poolee in the US Marine Corps. Tomorrow I have my official IST in which I have to pass a PT test, a drug test, and a general Marine Corps knowledge test.

The PT I've got, drug test I'm unsure of. The knowledge test I think I will fail though. There is quite a lot of information I am supposed to have memorized. The problem is I was given the information the day before I left on a 10 day vacation and I just got back yesterday. So now that I'm done pointlessly explaining all of that to you I'll proceed with writing down the info on here for you all to see, because I know you all care oh so much. A lot of this I had prior knowledge of though, the info I already know will be indicated by a .

That's it. A lot to memorize in one night though.

  2. The acronym is good.

    I sing.

  3. Oh yea? Instead of studying this I went to see MIB 3. Great movie. Hopefully I'll pass tomorrow lol.

  4. 

    How was the movie? .-.

And I mean that I make up a song.

  5. That's why I said oh yea.

It honestly had one of the best endings I've seen in a movie in ages. Kinda sad but bitter sweat ending.

I actually don't think I have to pass this knowledge test, it's more for my battalion commander to see if my recruiter is teaching me. The drug and PT test I do have to pass though.

  6. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh

    Drug test sounds splendid.

  7. I know  <- nervous face.

Tomorrow will be my first true day of adversity in the Marine Corps. Passing a PT test while sick, a drug test(speaks for itself), and a memorization test over stuff I didn't memorize.

Small in the scale of challenges to come, but I like it still.

  8. Hmmmmmm...

Get well soon! I'm sure you'll do fine, as long as you've trained for it!

  9. Goodluck :DDD

Memorization, sometimes i try to pull out letters from the words that i can draw a picture o.o if that make sense. Like candy. I would think of a can and dee dee from dexter lol
Or pull out words that might be close to a word thats easy to remember

    :3

  10. Woah woah woah!

This is not some good luck thread. It is very clearly an attempt of mine to procrastinate.

  11. J.J did the buckle 

  12. 

I like good luck and procrastination. But I think the good luck will help you more.

  13.  procrastination
If i actually days before my exams, i wont remember anything =.= but if i study few mins before the exams, i usually pass o_O

  14. Yes zac. Thats why I joined the Marines and not the clergy, for the acronyms. Also because I'm an atheistic agnostic so the clergy doesn't make sense as a second option.

Study? They said it usually isn't mandatory to know all of this at the time of my IST. So screw it. I just got back from vacation, im not memorizing stuff.

  15. Az, I got silenced 

  16. I record the question and answer then play it and read along with it or re-read it multiple times.

  17. You got silenced again? ):

    True. No sense.
