  1. Today I was taught that meat is murder, I always thought murder was when you kill someone.

  2. Meat is murder if he stroking ya right ?

  3. i mean it’s usually more humane if you kill people before eating them

  4. Wot. Murder means you’ve killed someone, or something without lawful justification, and with malicious attempt m8

So u can go ahead and kill as many animals as u want boi as long as you eat em imo.

  5. I agree with this. I also think there are more humane ways to keep animals until they're scheduled to die, and more humane ways to kill them. Prolonged torturous living conditions and a gruesome death are unnecessary practices that animal agriculture uses a lot, unfortunately. I don't believe in a complete end to meat consumption but I believe the industry needs some serious reforming.

  6. Caring for all the animals in a humane way for everyone in the world is unsustainable. veganism

  7. Veganism as a whole is unsustainable, too.

  8. how?

  9. Ban please :)

  10. What no ?

  11. Ok but look at it this way, if everyone in the world were vegan imagine all of the land stripping that would kill trees, the chemicals from fertilizers and bug repellants that would not only seep into the soil, but also wash into surrounding water sources such as rivers and streams. Thus contaminating the animals water supply and making them sick and die anyways. If you’re vegan, more power to you. But I’ll eat my chicken nuggets happily.

  12. There wouldn't be any extra land stripping tho since we already have all the veg and fruit we need. Also you're a monster k ty

  13. treating animals humanely and killing animals humanely for food is not unsustainable. corporations just don’t want to have to spend more money to do so. most unsustainable actions are not on the hands of the layperson.

corporations cause objectively the most harm to the environment despite having the money, power, and influence to find alternatives that are less damaging. they often refuse to because it would “cost too much,” despite the fact they can afford to spend more in that regard. but that’s another beast entirely.

veganism and vegetarianism aren’t inherently unsustainable.

HOWEVER they CAN also be unsustainable and cause damage to other human beings (lots of vegan and fad superfoods are produced heavily thanks to human rights violations).

but, like anything, being conscious of what you’re doing and supporting i believe is necessary. you don’t get a moral high ground because you think you’re doing “good” by something when you haven’t done enough research to realize that you’re doing harm in another way.

  14. Ok but you would have to do strip farming? Meat, milk, eggs, cheese, etc are all HUGE parts of what’s in people’s fridges. If everyone were vegan, you’d have to produce more almond/coconut/soy/pea milk, produce more soy cheeses, and provide enough fruits and vegetables that are protein based in order to successfully provide the nutrients human beings need.

  15. this is what i meant.

also, veganism for a lot of people just isn't an option. 4 of the largest food allergens are often used as vegan substitutes. i mentally and physically can't undergo any more dietary restrictions with my eating disorder. that's just a few reasons.

i have no qualms with vegetarianism and veganism but i don't want it to be imposed upon me when i couldn't handle that kind of diet medically speaking.

  16. It would take up a lot more land space, require way more resources (healthy food, clean water more money for emloyers to take care of the animals etc). And they would have to do that for every single animal around the world being used for meat (of which there is a lot since the world is overpopulated and they're trying to get meat to everyone). That's expensive af. And it would cost a lot of money which not everyone can affors. So it is unsustainable.

  17. Because some ppl eat processed vegan junk food or do fad diets that makes veganism unsustainable? Tf

  18. What makes you think fake meat and cheese is necessary? Ppl only eat that shìt cuz they miss the foods they ate as an omnivore. No one needs to eat it. Beans and rice is completely fine and way healthier.

  19. no, a lot of vegetables and fruits and grains are being farmed by slaves in countries they are imported from. maybe not in canada, idk how you guys deal with produce, but in america that's how we get most of our produce and grains etc.
