Have you ever wondered why? An open letter from the LGBTQ community to the society Have you ever asked yourself how looks can determine who you should love instead of what's inside? Have you ever asked yourself how everyone's too busy trying to grow up; to look matured, but almost nobody seems to care how to be matured? Have you ever asked yourself why people always talk about equality but can never seem to accept homosexuality? Have you ever asked yourself how mental illnesses can kill people with just a random push from anybody? If you ever asked yourself why, did you even try to look for answers or even try to answer it by yourself? This is the fact we need to accept, regardless of how unfair the others’ view of life, it’s the reality we live in… Many people would tell you “this is the right thing to do” “you shouldn’t be doing that” “you’re too young for that” “you don’t know what you are saying”, but the funny thing is… their minds are too closed to hear your voice, they don’t accept point of views, and the saddest part is that they think age will dictate if you can handle things by yourself. It feels like you are talking to a wall waiting for it to answer. It sucks. Not being heard, it really sucks right? You know the feeling of not being listened to. It doesn’t matter who you are and where you came from, so now, hear the LGBTQ community voice, reader. We all know love is an unstoppable thing. You cannot just snap a finger and tell your heart to stop loving someone. “Naalala ko before, I was so shy to tell my bestfriend that I am a bisexual and I have a girlfriend. Baka kasi mailang siya after that.Napakahirap grabe! Feeling ko kasi lalayuan niya ako if I will tell her the truth.” said one of my close friends. Letting yourself out in the closet is the hardest part of being gay. You’ll get to hear a lot of stuffs against you, you’ll be discriminated, you’ll feel humiliated and judged; but to you LGBTQ reader, keep in mind that you are the bravest person in the world though liking and loving yourself is a rebellious act in this society full of judgmental homophobic people. To you homophobic, being a gay isn’t like having a stage 4 cancer, it is not an illness that should be treated and prevented. It is a suicidal state most of the LGBTQ suffer. Is it funny to read such a letter telling you that being part of the LGBTQ is a suicide? Well, if you’re thinking that suicide is pointing a gun in your head, finding the blade you used the last time you thought of ending your life, getting a rope to tie on your neck, jumping in the highest rooftop, think again. Suicide is more than just ending a life. Suicide is how someone experienced the worst pain yet still lives the life he never wanted, the life that he didn't chose for himself, the life that made him, himwell in fact all he wanted was to be accepted by the society especially by his family. Will you call a gay weak if he chose to step out of the room fill withhomophobic people telling him he is a useless person to this society? To tell you what he feels every time you are telling him how pointless his life is… He is hurt. He maybe smile and act like nothing’s wrong but he is hurt. Really hurt. He is savaged. He is savaged because of your harsh words he used to hear every morning, your words that he always think about at night. He feels like he is a mess because of the people telling him he is a disgrace to this society and he is drained because of those people judging his way of life. It feels like suicide… more than just a suicide. If you think you are the basis of normality in this world and you tell gays that they are part of the society that should be eliminated, I could say you just killed them. You killed a part of them that only tried to be itself. In this generation, no one seems to care. Everyone is just too narrow-minded about things. If they knew someone is gay, they will start criticizing that person for being himself; then will say how much God loves everyone even sinners. Ironic, isn’t it? This is suicide for gays. Your words are slowly killing them. Open your mind, gays are humans! What you say is important. But even more important is how you say and deliver it. Never make a gay feel like they were not alive... They get hurt; we live in the same planet and breathe the same air; just so you know. Gays commit mistakes; you commit mistakes. As the writer of this open letter, I am not telling you to understand everything because I understand that not all things are meant to be understood, but to be accepted. Do we really have to know who’s gay or straight? Can we just love one another and stop the hate? If you are not really in favor of the homosexuals, just at least… treat them right. Treat them as humans. -Pkmdg (c) Bisexual Freedom Wall
"Still lives the life that he never wanted" What about women ? It's not just about men hence why it's LGBT. (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender) If you're talking about LGBT you have to include all not just 1 Category, that's why it's called a COMMUNITY
Yes it does because when I read it just come across of that oh only gay men suffer and commit suicide. When actually the whole community is affected by it.
Im male & if my Gf is Lesbian i would buy a two diamond ring one for her & one for her Girlfriend  if u know wat i mean ??
You didn't even mention transgender, this all just about gay people. Which again is only 1 segment of the LGBT community. To me this more a letter about gays to homophobics. You never addressed any other groups in that community.
I get your point. We(ALL) also been through the same situation. As long as you feel the same way as they do (Gays), its really not necessary what pronoun was used.
You really choose the wrong thread title for this. It should of been called a letter to homophobics. Pronouns are important when you're talking about a community. Are you that stupid ?
You sound rather annoyed by it, Why not make a thread using all the pronouns of the community, aphro?
You're bisexual?? Can i put my best effort to Impress you? ? I swear ill be at my Limits. Btw I'm male in advance so that u dont have to check whether im male or female. im just saying ? & dont be rude ?
i hate when ppl are like "well I'M ______ and /I/ dont care" like that's great becky but you're not The Grand Representative of The Demographic so
