Just finished watching the interview with Opera Winfrey. Who else has seen this and what is your reaction? Personally I find him insincere and and his motives for doing it are only to overturn his ban. Still his arrogant self. As an athlete myself I hate cheating to gain an unfair advantage. I believe in fair and honest competition. The only reason he has come "clean" is because he got caught. Drug cheats will always be cheats. If they don't get caught they keep their medals or jerseys in this case allowing people to believe they earned that achievement. I have a lot more to say about him but I'll let everyone else voice their views lol. Do you believe he is sincere? And deserves to compete again?
What a disgrace in my opinion, used to think he was an absolute legend and inspiration... Unbelievable, he didn't even seem sorry or bothered, came across as a total loser to put it nicely
Like he said ^ he didn't feel bad or that it was wrong. When he said, "Everyone does it." I kind of lost respect for him. Maybe he can change but like roscco said he only came clean because he got caught. D:
I'm not sure how I feel on the whole thing since every cyclist was juiced up. To me it's more of a scar against the sport as opposed to the athlete. I'm not defending Armstrong in any way but you can't point just one finger.
The famous Lance Armstrong headline entitled 'Dope-rah Winfrey', is a about seven time Tour de France winner, Lance Armstrong, confessing to taking drugs. This isn't just about his drugs, it's about how he was an all around prick! He had no regard for other peoples' thoughts or feelings, and was completely full of himself.
Oh yeh Vegas, he's not the only one. But there are clean riders there and for him to be so cocky and to bully so many people and sue them when they are telling the truth. He's made himself into this major public figure so he will obviously be the one who falls the hardest. I think anyone caught using banned substances deserves a life ban (I think the IOC recommends 4 years to guarantee missing an Olympics) I think his responses to questions show him to be insincere in his coming clean and apologies. He even said at one point he wouldn't be here (on the show) if it wasn't for an incident that led to him getting caught.
Sorry about my first paragraph up thereI was explaining it to my friend and jus copied and pasted it.
It'll be interesting once he's testifying under oath about how deep it goes, is the corruption all the way through to the testers and governing body? It wouldn't surprise me if there were people from those involved. Also want to to see how he stands up in civil court. He got damages against The Times newspaper in UK during his first tour career when he sued as they suggested there were drugs involved. I'm sure them, and a lot more people want their money back. What about the film that is rumoured to be made of the scandal? Surely he shouldn't get a penny from this - how can a drugs cheat profit from this?
I think this will bankrupt him in civil cases. Already lining up to sue him. Times is only 1.2m. US government suing for a lot more after his payments through the US postal team sponsor. I think many others to come.
I was amazed on what he did for himself and for others. Always respected him, but now... I can care less about him. This dude tried to act like Denzel Washington.. and not care about the situation.
I see this the same way I see hackers and modders. They ruin the gaming community and are very unfair just as the "Lance armstrongs" of sporting community ruin it. The fair and honest players sit by un noticed of their hard work and dedication to be outshined by a cheater. They're scum. They don't deserve anything they have gotten. He cheated his way to the top along with many other sports stars to get recognition. It's sad.
it is despicable and disgusting when ppl that are made into heroes and idols are found out to be nothing more than mere humans… how dare they…
I am just super disappointed in him and what he did. I was a huge fan, and I even believed his innocence until he admitted it himself. It's just really disappointing that someone could lie like that for all these years.
It's not the fact that they mess up like everyone else. It's the fact that they are looked up to by many as inspirational characters, heroes, legends, role models and so much more. And to find out that they cheated to reach their status that they are at, well it just ruins it. Sports is about drive and ambition to be the best. And to have fun. Once you cheat I it, it takes away fro the sport.
I really don't care what Lance Armstrong did. In my opinon just let him make a cock up of his own life and get over it.
Hackers and modders are irrelevant to lancez Mods are good. Except in the cod franchise, but minecraft on the other hand...
