Let me start of by saying this is a really long and depressing thread (for me anyways you might think it's funny ?) Anyways a week ago I had my moms delicious chocoflan (for those who don't know this is a cake with flan on the top half and chocolate cake on bottom half.... Will post pic up later) and she finally gave me the recipe well today I finally made it then THE WORST THING HAPPENED!!! After taking the chocoflan out of the oven the directions said I had to let it cool on a rack upside down... So since the pan was still hot I thought I would use my ninja moves and flip it really fast ?? well more than half of the top (the flan part) shredded into pieces?? only 1/8 of the cake remained ?? I ate that piece and guess what it was the most delicious thing I had tasted (not really but it was really good) ?? I'm so mad at myself cuz my stupid ninja moves made me mess up and I couldn't be patient and wait for the dang pan to cool a bit ughhhh!!! I'm still very depressed about this but please tell me about mistakes you've made while cooking or just laugh at me I don't care
I can choose to laugh at you or laugh with you Meh I'll do both. AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAGAHHHHHAAAAAAAAA HAH OK I'm done?️ I utilise emojis to the max^
Lol it looks good but I have this recipe its so filling. 2 apples Almond butter/peanut butter Dark chocolate Put almond butter or peanut (i use any) Cut the apples up Put the dark chocolate Crunchy heaven.
I do things like that all the time...I'm a idiot cook. And I'm scared of things like grease so I always end up hurting myself or ruining what I'm making because I'm so scared of hurting myself.
I'm afraid of corn oil when it gets really hot! I use to fry eggs with a long sleeve shirt or jacket on and gloves because I was scared of the oil that would jump I'm still afraid that it will hurt me so when it gets really hot I just let husband finish cooking
Whenever you need to flip something out of the pan put a plate, rack or serving dish the size or a bit bigger then what you're flipping on the top, hold tight to both and flip (sometimes you need to pat it out or go along the edge with a butter knife prior to the flip ). Cooking and baking is a trial and error thing, just have fun with it.
tips on fried eggs: use butter, melt about a tablespoon or two if it's a very large pan, when the butter is melted move the pan around to coat the pan. Have the heat on a medium almost medium high setting. Crack your eggs and put a lid on the pan. ( most cooking set's have interchangeable lids. The lid helps cook both sides so when you flip it they won't fall appart. Keep an eye on the edges and yoke while cooking. Butter makes them slide super easy and yummy.
