Just Another Number

  1. I watched as the man slowly drooped to the floor, dead.
"Okay, next on the list is..." I said to myself, "Liam Rinaldi. Eh, I'll get him tomorrow."
My job consisted of tracking, stalking, and eliminating random people. Right now, I was tracking some students that had gotten on the nerves of a mental teacher. Sometimes it's good to skip class.
You might think I'm heartless, you might think I'm insane, but to me these people are just another number.

  2. If even one person comments, I will continue.

  3. Comment. Lmao. 
    Bump

  4. Can I help?
    Cam Rider
    5'2-7" any age
Brown hair, usually in side braid. Hazel eyes. Athletic.
Normally wears a dark hoodie, cargo shorts.
    Feisty.

  5. Okay, I'll update soon. Mia, do you mind being an assassin?

  6. Mia

As I walked home, I thought about all the possibilities of my next job. Maybe I'll have my roommates help.
I open our door to a complete catastrophe. The couch was tipped over, knives were scattered, even the ceiling fan had fallen through the coffee table. Typical.
Out of nowhere, Leanne tried to tackle me. After she realized I was me, she apologized saying, "I am so sorry, Mia. I thought you were Cam!"
"Leanne, calm down. I'm not gonna shoot you for it," I said before we both realized how ironic that was.
"Ha!" Cam shouted, jumping up with a gun.
"No fair, no firearms!" Leanne protested.
We wouldn't ever seriously injure each other, but we usually come pretty close.
    -------
Sorry the update's short, but it's about 4:00am over here.

  7. Mia

"Fine," Cam said defiantly, before shooting directly between Leanne's feet.
"Ladies, ladies! How about helping me with a job instead of nearly murdering each other?" I offered.
"Heck yeah!" the screamed in unison.

What was the deal with Mr. Lemmings? Everyday he would search for me before starting class. It was as if he expected me to disappear. If I did disappear, though, I wouldn't be the first from his class.
"Mr. Rinaldi! Would you mind focusing on the lesson just once in your life?" yelled Mr. Lemmings, accusingly.
"I'm just deeply thinking about your lesson," I replied sarcastically.
    -------
    Leanne

Finally! I haven't had a job in forever.
Clients usually skip me because I'm small and thin. What they don't know is that underneath all the sweet, is a deadly weapon.
As we were discussing the how-to's of the job, I whispered, "So many choices."
I was going to have fun.

  8. Liam

I was watching TV on the couch when the doorbell rang. With a sigh I opened the door to a girl around fourteen. She had long white-blond hair and was wearing a Girls Scout uniform.
"Sorry girlie, but my dad's on a diet and I don't want any cookies," I said, monotonously.
"Are you sure? We have so many kinds! We have sugar cookie, and mint chip, and even double-chocolate chip!" she exclaimed, subtly bouncing up and down.
"I don't want any! Now, bye."
The "innocent Girl Scout" then used a dagger to pin my sleeve to the door.
"I don't care about the ******* cookies, you idiot!"
Two more girls, both about my age, jump out of the bushes behind her. Then the wackos drag me into the basement.
"What do you all want!" I scream.
"Simple, we want you dead," responds the one with her long, brown hair in a braid.
    -------
    Mia

I had underestimated this guy, good thing I brought my roommates.
"Okay, boss, what are we gonna do?" whispered Leanne with a slight smile. She absolutely adored this job.
"Hand me the gun, let's make this quick," I said.
"What the heck is wrong with you three?!?!" our victim cried out.
I pointed the gun to Liam's temple and was ready to shoot, but I couldn't. I couldn't look into his eyes and shoot him, but I couldn't look away, either.
    "I can't do it..."

  9. Mia

"What do you mean, you can't do it? Give me the gun, then, I will!" Cam shouted, obviously irritated. She snatched the revolver out of my hands, and focused on her aim.
I somehow shoved her hands away at the last second because there was now a bullet hole in the basement wall.
"What the **** is wrong with you, Mia?" Leanne asked, outraged.
"Let's come back later," I started, "There are so many other people on the list. I'll even do the Girl Scout routine all day!"
"Fine, but if he squeals on us, I'm taking my revenge," Leanne said menacingly.
    Why was he my exception?
    -------
    Liam

What the heck just happened? How did that chick go from murdering me to protecting me. She definitely wasn't just being courteous.
    Why was I her exception?

  10. Lol, I'm just writing to myself.

  11. Leanne

Mia kept her Girl Scout promise.
"They always open the door for "innocent" little girls," I said, laughing. I had what once was a snobby seventeen year old at my feet. Even Cam agreed that she deserved what she got.

I couldn't get Mia's little episode out of my head. It was as if she was forced to help the guy.
    But why?

  12. No one reads this.

  13. Liam

Every time I heard a knock on the door, I would run to the attic for fear of the three girls returning. One day, my fear proved true...kinda.
    -------
    Mia

My recent client called me around noon, wanting to know when the job would be done. Only then did I remember Liam.
"Funny you should ask that, Mr. Lemmings. I was just on my way to finish the job when you called," I lied smoothly. To be frank, I had no intention of murdering Liam.
"You better be, little miss. I paid in advance!" the angry educator shouted.
    -------
    Liam

My assassin-turned-savior walked up to the door wearing a Fed-Ex uniform. Pretending to strain under the weight of the box, she rang the doorbell impatiently. When I didn't answer, the average-looking girl kicked my door open.
"W-what do you want?" I stuttered from the attic ladder.
Her fierce expression softened when she saw me squatting in the crawlspace. "Yes, thank you for inviting me in. By the way, name's Mia," she sneered.
"Well Mia, I think it would be best if you GOT OUT OF MY HOUSE!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
"Fine, but only if you come with me."
"Why would I go with you?"
    "Because you want to live."
    -------
    Mia

It was hard to focus on the plan with him staring at me.
"What do you mean?" Liam asked cautiously.
"I mean, someone wants you killed, and I am opposed to that," I clarified.
    "Why?"
    "Because, apparently, you're annoying."
I rolled my eyes at him. Did he always ask this many questions?
"Weren't you the one sent to kill me?"
"Again with the questions! Yes, i was, but nothing personal."

  14.  can i be in it?

  15. Sure. Can you give me a character description?

  16. Name: Ken
Personality:nice, can be mean, very sarcastic
Description:short (5feet) about 14 and a half, tan strong, brown eyes, brown hair longish, bangs not straight across, wears neon green sunglasses and a hat everywhere

  17. Alexis or Alexa

  18. Liam

Nothing personal my ***! When I looked into her eyes, though, I knew she wasn't lying.
"What about my friends and family, they'll notice I'm missing," I retorted.
"Yes because your foster parents love you SO much," she said sarcastically.
"Whatever. Who wants me dead, though?"
    "Classified, now let's go!"
I grabbed my cell and jogged to her "borrowed" Fed-Ex truck.
    -------
    Mia

Why was I helping this guy? The whole reason I became an assassin was because I hated helping people. That, and because I was certifiably insane...
Eventually, we got to my ruined but, thankfully, uninhabited apartment. Once inside, I grabbed Liam's hand and led him to my room.
"Listen, and listen good. If my roommates find you before I talk to them, they will kill you. Stay in here or risk dying!" I screamed at the dude.
"Got it," He mumbled, "Where are you going?"
    "Out."
    -------
    Liam

After she left, I pulled out my phone and saw that I had five texts from Ken.
"Jeez, what do I tell him?" I thought aloud.
I considered my options for about half an hour before texting back, "Hey Ken. Imma bout 2 go on vaca. c ya l8r"
    What do I do now?

  19. Alexa

I was officially panicking. Liam was should have checked in by now, right? If he was out with someone, wouldn't he at least text.
"Marie! Do you know where Liam is?" I asked my foster mom.
"Don't know, don't care," she replied.
    "Ugh!"
Stupid foster parents! We were better off on our own.
    -------
    Cam

Leanne got caught up in some rich chick that had tripped her in the mall, so I went home alone. Even with all the horrifying things I've experienced, the muffled crash in our empty apartment, made me jump.
I kicked down Mia's door, pointed my gun inside the room, and nearly made a familiar looking guy wet his pants.
    I whispered "What the...?"
