I made this for friends.. Or people interested in JROTC/ROTC Or people who are bored. Trolls, you are equivalent of wet toilet paper. Nobody wants you, and you will be flushed without even being second-guessed. LOL. Have fun, ROTC JROTC AJROTC NJROTC MJROTC AFJROTC It's all the same when they all get down to business.. Whether it be drill, exhibition, color guard, raider team, honor guard (flag detail), marksmanship, leadership, academic.. Whatever. All branches of JROTC are the exact same; the mission is to motivate young people to be better citizens.. Now I've been in the program at our high school academy, going into my fourth year.. So I know almost everything about JROTC, including drill movements, chain of command, creeds, types of teams, and best of all, knowing what someone's limits actually are. I'm very involved, I've been to national, state, and district level competitions for everything except marksmanship. I don't want to pick up any bad shooting habits, so I refuse to shoot right now. I participate in Drill, Color Guard, Exhibition, Raiders, Orienteering (Land Navigation, Night Nav ), Honor Guard, and Leadership. SECOND PLACE AT JLAB, NATIONALS BABY! WOOOO Now JROTC isn't ALL about making face time with the ground, like so: Believe it or not, the people in those high-speed uniforms actually have fun in the class, in those academies, and in various other positions. JROTC and the first two years of SROTC (Senior ROTC), their common goal is not to get you to enlist or commission into the military. Everyone needs a leadership education training course, and JROTC gives you that opportunity in various different ways.. Each JROTC branch has different use of leadership; chain of command. It's all different, so I won't get into detail.. Haha, but anyway, aside from that, I'm mostly making this thread for the pictures, so I'll just post some of us being goofy in uniform, because I know the service members will LOVE me for that. Having military bearing when our AI's and SAI's are around is mandatory, but when they aren't.. Anyways, PICTURES OF RAIDERS! These were taken at our state competition, so don't judge. My ex-girlfriend took the pictures, and she was a photographer, so they are surprisingly pretty good. One thing she didnt fuck up. I'm on the left, they had me be a pace setter.. Everyone else was emptying out their canteens before so they would weigh less.. Man, I was everyone's best friend once the three mile run was over. LOL. This was taken towards the end of the run, and I love this picture just because of the fact that the part I cropped out is hilarious, and I can't show you guys because I will be banned, but it does involve someone running with a certain finger extended towards a certain person. LOL. This picture was taken right after the 5K run.. Now a 5K is 3.1 miles for those goofy people that don't know what a 5K is.. Now if you don't know how long a mile is, go walk outside for about 25 minutes, turn around and come back, and you should be close.. Don't know what a mile is, Smh. 80 pound Ruck-runners on the right, 140LB litter sprinters on the left. Want to guess why we are carrying a bed with a bunch of books on it? It is suppose to symbolize a person, believe it or not. If someone goes down on the battlefield, you get put on one of those beautiful things, and we will run you up and down hills and bounce you around, and hope you don't die. K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid.) Rope bridge? The event I hate the most. I burnt my hand pretty nicely on those ropes, and the fact it was a little wet that day, and the rope was sandy, it didn't Make ANYONE'S ability to go across that rope any faster..lol. The reason for this, "Rope Bridge" is that if you have to go over a river, you can have one person swim across, and tie a secure rope to a tree, while tying that same rope around a tree at your side of the river, and cause minimal damage to your unit, by going over the water, instead of through. Only two people get wet The person who goes across at first, and the person who takes the rope down afterwards. Army versus Marines DEP BEACH VOLLEYBALL GAME! I GOT IT! I GOT IT! Me on the right, Kev on the left. We both managed to trip over the courts wires at the same time, and the entire net collapsed.. We got eliminated.. First round. BUT THAT'S OKAY. During our comeback round.. I SERVE THE BALL! Hits the net and the whole thing falls down.. We got eliminated... Elimination round </3 Disqualified in both rounds for being dummies. LOL.. Volleyball is my jam though. <3 Promise. HAHA.. Anyway, People say ROTC and JROTC is not all fun and games.. Ladies, please. At least try it first. LOL. JROTC is my life. <3 TRACK MEET WOOOOO I made this thread so friends could look at pictures of what I tell them. I don't give a butt about what the rest of you think. XD.. Hope you enjoyed. HAHA Peace, -CJS
I got to be in the Honor Guard when I was active, it was always heart wrenching having to do funerals for veterans and fallen solders. It makes me tear up remembering some of it, but I wouldn't change doing it.
