Recently I bought a journal and haven't written on it. What kinda shit would be helpful to write on it? Does anyone have any tips and do you have a journal?
it doesnt have to be deep. you can just write anything in your journal each day until you start noticing improvements.
I just write when I have things I want to write, so the dates between entries are often months apart. Usually when I have something I wanna tell someone but ik I should practice emotional control, I'll journal it instead.
Could be good for writing out emotions when you're going through them to try and express what you're feeling. Journals can also be nice just to keep some memories. Whenever you do something fun or special you can write about it so you can look back later and remember what happened.
Yeah what others said, its good for writing out your emotions and stuff. its one of the things they recommend to pretty much everyone when they go for counselling/therapy because it does help to filter out negative thoughts. i have a journal myself, you don’t have to write in it every day too.
I have a journal that I recently started using to help with my BDD so a lot of my journal entries/ideas are mental health related if that’s anything that interests you. Overall its best to use your journal when you’re emotional or have a lot on your mind. It’s good to write that stuff out or even just scribble stuff in, whatever helps you vent. 🤟🏼
-Write down things you know you’re going to forget -Write anything random that’s going on in your life and then when you forget about it and pick it back up 3 months later you’d be surprised how much changed. It serves as a good laugh. I found an old notebook from like 4 years ago and I swear I don’t even know who that person is anymore.
