So everyone knows that PIMD has a very high level of drama, especially for a game. Almost everyone who actually plays and socializes has witnessed or been part of some form of drama. My question is simple: Why is there so much drama on here? Now I'm not innocent, and I won't claim to be, but that doesn't mean I understand why there is so much of it. It's a game online, why do we care what each other think so much? That leads me to my next question: why do people catfish? I understand that people are embarrassed or whatever, but once again why care what a bunch of people over the internet think? More so, if you do care wouldn't you want them to like you for you and not who you pretend to be? Lately the selfie threads along with the every day drama of pimd led me to these questions so I thought I'd share with you. <3

I'm guessing they must catfish because they aren't getting the attention/love they need in RL. Probably makes them feel good for a few minutes to forget the people telling them they are pretty think they're somebody else.
And the drama part? Well a majority of it is because people who don't have the balls to be big in person suddenly have them when they're behind a screen. Probably bc they know they can't get their ass kicked from behind there.
I don't understand cat fishing at all. Like to get the attention. Because the attention isn't actually directed at you so how could it make you feel good about yourself?
Never know Mandi, some crazy person may try to get my address and kick my ass for buying their 500m tut Jojo exactly.. Like how can "oh you're so beautiful" or whatever make you feel good about yourself if you're not who you say you are.. Like if you aren't the person in the pic then they aren't talking to you..
It's still attention, and depends how far it goes. Some crazies might think they can catfish first then get the person to "fall in love" with them. Idk. I try to understand but crazy doesn't make a lot of sense.
To me, it's one thing to lie about your looks... But it's worse to lie about who you are as a person. What I mean by that is all of these extra lies to make yourself seem more "interesting." Or maybe even lying about your age, or where you come from. Or lying about your interests to make someone else believe you have that in common. I dunno. To me, it's crazy the bonds you can form with people, yes even on an online game. I can honestly say myself that there are people that I genuinely love and care for on here. Having that type of relationship usually requires being honest with each other, so when you find out they've been lying the whole time... It hurts. A lot. So my question is always the same; why lie to those you "care about"?
my guess is catfishers do it for the attention their online personas are. Although the nice comments are directed at the pic, the viewers believe the person in the pic is the person behind the device, thats my guess anyway. There is always drama on the internet :lol:
I don't get the cat fishing at all. I mean honestly, wouldn't having a fake picture getting complimented make you feel worse since its not you who is being complimented? Another thing, if you don't like how you look, you don't have to post a picture on forums, its just some people want to, and furthermore, people should try and be happy with themselves, and if they're not, then they should work on becoming happier. That probably sounded like an unarticulated mess since im falling asleep so if that made no sense, ignore it.
