  1. Is anyone else having battery issues with their iphone 5?

My phone turns off with 20% battery left. It also jumps from 30s to low teens...

    WTH PHONE!!! Work correctly!

Does anyone else have this problem? Am
    i alone in my suffering?

  2. I used to have the problem you are describing. It would turn off then when I plugged in it would turn back on immediately and say 20% or sometimes 30%.

  3. Are you using any chargers that are not apple, and if so are you using any that are rated higher than 5V 1A? I had a car charger that had a 5V 2.1A slot that promises faster charge. This was true, but pretty sure it 'confused' the battery. Used only the 1A during a few full discharge/recharge cycles and problem didn't come back. Good luck!

  4. I've noticed that my 4s is now switching off at 16% when it used to stay alive until about 4%. I don't have ios7 yet either ?

  5. Mine does that on iPhone 4S ever since the i07 update

  6. Apple charger only, however i do use my charger and plug it into a laptop universal charger that has a usb port, i may be confusing the battery - is there a fix for it?

Also this problem only started happening with ios7... Could it be a problem with the os?

  7. This happened to me, i baught a charger from the supermarket close to me left in on charge for 2 hours and i ran out of charge within 30 minutes

    Quick fix:
Go to the apple store and buy a proper iphone charger

  8. Oh sorry, just saw the msg about the 1A full recharge, ill try that today and report back.

  9. What you need to do deadly is hold the lock button and the home button until the apple logo comes up (do this while the phone is off) this will reset the phone - the counter for your battery percentage my have not started up correctly as it's best described as an internal app. Also, turn your phone off AFTER plugging it in, iPhones that are off have a tendency to turn on when plugged in. Leave it off and plugged in for approximately 45 minutes, turn on the phone by holding the lock and home buttons - your phone should stay on until at least 5 percent after this reset and jump start.

Also, keep in mind that smartphone batteries are also "smart" if you constantly plug in your phone at 20 percent - 20 percent will register as your new 0 percent.

Also, it's good to do a "tune up" of your battery at least once a month, and by that I mean going through a whole life cycle. Keep your phone on until it dies - and keep turning it back on until the phone will not turn back on anymore - this will insure that your battery is fully drained - you may have to turn it on with the "reset" method if your percent counter is really screwed up.

Once your phone tells you that it cannot turn on unless it is plugged in, plug it in and then turn it off (if it turns on of course) and leave it for a good 3 hours - even if you have the power charger.

After that it should be good as new ️

  10. Not that it will not clear any of your data or factory reset the phone - this is more like a "shutdown and restart" option.

  11. No but my battery dies quickly

  12. I've had the same problem I sent it to apple and the battery wasn't put in right so it caused my phone to screw up

  13. Buy one of they high performance battery's, there pretty cheap

  14. 5c:Cheap plastic phone. Js.

Also your problem may be over charging, a past iPod of mine had that happen where I would charge overnight and over a period of time my battery would literally drain from full to empty in about 20mins.
