This will include spoilers for those of you who - for some odd reason - have not watched either of the two. So I'm somewhat of an MCU fan. So for those of you who have watched both movies, which one did you prefer and why? Infinity War had some pretty good action scenes throughout the movie, and the highlight was, in my opinion, the Wakanda fight. In my opinion (and probably a lot others') the best part of the movie was when Thor comes in like Infinity War also got me to like the Guardians of the Galaxy. I didnt like their characters/movies at first but after their involvement in Infinity War, I got around to liking them. Specially Quill. Endgame, on the other hand, didn't really feel it had that much action until the last hour, which was of course my favorite part. Though I wish it had been a little longer and some of the main characters got more fighting time. The Black Order also didnt get justice. Corvus Glaive got killed like toward the beginning of the fight as the camera was panning away. And that big monster dude just got stepped on. Lame. Professor Hulk needed his second round against Thanos too. Doctor Strange could have actually done something besides just holding up the lake the entire fight. It was just missing a little bit more. But the twist that gave me confused feelings was Thor. I mean, he wasn't that bad but he should have lost that weight toward the end of the fight. We didnt actually get to see him go all out and he's one of my favorite characters. Also, there was an interview with the Russo's recently where they revealed that they originally had plans of having 2014 Thanos travel to Earth and basically lay waste to the population. And when he comes through Nebula's portal at Avengers HQ in 2023 and destroys the base, before the big fight starts, he throws something at their feet, and it turns out to be 2014 Captain America's decapitated head. DARK Anyway, what are your thoughts on all this?
Infinity war was meant to be like the climax of the story so of course it’s going to be action packed. Endgame on the other hand is both an ending and beginning point. All of the characters are grieving over the massive amount of death they’ve experienced while also looking for a way to get back what they’ve lost. It’s not meant to be action packed. It’s a telling a final tale for some but is also ushering in new hopes and beginnings for others.
Sure but the final fight was an hour long. Half of Infinity War, so that one hour had more action (IMO) than IW
That wasn’t the point of my comment. I was simply explaining why endgame didn’t have as much action as Infinity War.
But it kinda did if you consider the last battle was 1/2 of Infinity War's duration. But I wanted even more action in those other 2hrs
