PROLOGUE It was a dark, cold, rainy Friday night. Steps echoed through the 3rd floor hallway of the mansion located in the Immortal Ranch. The steps came from Alexandra and Damon. "Alexandra we must hurry. We don't have much more time!" scolded Damon "Jeez, please will you just shut your face for 5 minutes!" yelled Alexandra. Damon rolled his eyes and said, "Ummm, well, when we are being hunted down, we usually don't have much time, you idiot!" They finally reached their room, and quickly shut the door and started grabbing any belonging they could get their hands on. As they were fiddling through their things, they hear footsteps coming. "Oh no!" Alexandra screamed. Damon quickly shut off the lights, and grabbed Alexandra and hid her in the shadows of a corner. "My love, do not move from this spot until necessary." Damon said calmly. Alexandra slowly nodded her head and listened to the door opening. She heard three different pairs of feet. "Waaaait....three?!" she thought. "Damon! STOP!!!!" she yelled. Before Damon could even attack them, she tackled him down. "Wow, get a room guys, not a good time for this." teased one of their best friends Qin. "The Specials have reached the gate to the ranch. I estimate, we only have 5 minutes." said Jack, another member of the group. Suddenly a huge BAM hit the door. "crap!!!" they all screamed. "Move out! Move out!" Charlie, the fifth member screamed. More banging hit the door as they all ran for the room balcony. "Wait! My ring!" yelled Alexandra. She quickly sprinted to the table to put it on. As she finally reached the table, the door finally broke down. She ran for her life to the balcony as the Specials chased her down. "Alexandra! Hurry!" Alexander yelled, as Qin pulled him off the balcony. She reached the balcony in a few strides, and took one look back. The person she saw brought shivers up her spine. He wasn't a Special like Bella, Alexis, Shelby, or Richelle. He was something worse, something way worse. He was Danny, her old friend, and he had his followers with him, Adelynn, and Ever. Worst of all, they were trying to kill THEM. She quickly turned around and leaped off the balcony. The wind rushed as her face, as she flew down the 3 floors of the mansion. She landed with the grace of a cat on the muddy wet ground. Yes, a regular person would no doubt die from a fall like this. She was different though, her and her four friends were. They were something special, something original, they were... Immortals.
