Here is Book Two of the Sweet Treats Series! Now, remember, this is Marcy's story. And mind you, she just might be different. But, still, enjoy Marcy's story, Ice Cream Delights. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 1 I nod my head to the music coming through my headphones, wiping the counter down. "And Death corners you, back to the wall," I sing with Wolf, listening to his smooth voice flow through my ears. "Looking into his eyes, he pulls you into his world." At my guitar rift, I close my eyes and break into air guitar with a huge smile. Souls and Skulls is going to make its debut someday. Hopefully, it's closer than I think. Someone yanks the headphones off my head and yells, "Marcy!" "Hey, I'm listening to my music! What hell do you- Oh, Liam, hey," I smile. "What you want, man? If you're looking for Marcus, he's out with Roxy." "I was looking for you. We have meeting in ten, remember? You listening to the new song?" "Shit! I forgot! And definitely. Wolf's singing is literally beast," I smirk and yank the headphone cord out of my iPod. I hop over the counter and I stumble. Liam catches me before I fall and flashes me a smile. "I agree. Let's go, I'll drive," Liam smiles and lets me go, heading to the door. I head off after him, plucking my jacket off the hook and flipping the sign to "closed." He pulls me away from Cupid's Chocolate Villa and to the parking lot. I smile at the sight of his black Mustang and I hop over the door and into the seat. "The more and more I see your ride, the more and more I want to marry you," I joke, smirking. "I'd sure as hell take you. You're a better than most of the chicks in this town," he smirks and hops into the driver's seat. "Yeah, but as I have said before, I'm not getting married. I'd rather adopt kids and live as a single parent. It's better than committing," I reply as he starts the engine. I smile at the purr of the engine and Liam puts the baby in drive, heading to Wolf's. ***** "We need a gig, you guys!" Wolf growls, making me smirk. His nickname fits for his attitude and his looks. Wolf, or Nick, as that is his real name, has brown hair that is dyed blue, kind of like Marcus, golden eyes, and a very muscular build. Either he just works out for the fun of it, or it's for the gigs that we never get. "Well, it's not like we're not trying!" Roxy says, frowning at our band mate. Roxy is my best friend and she's dating Marcus. Her hair is to "dye" for. It's a cool purple. Not like my hair, of course, but it's amazing. "Well, we have to do something! Marcy, any ideas?" Marcus asks me. I shrug. "I could ask Jenny and Justin, see if any of their friends might be looking for a band to play somewhere. And I could talk to Jason. He might have some ideas," I shrug. Jenny and Justin are not just owners of Cupid's Chocolate Villa and Flowers of Love, but now they travel and are sort of our managers. Jason is just really hot even though he thirty. I need an excuse to talk to him sometimes. "Not enough, Marce. Liam?" Wolf says, making me huff in anger. He thinks he's the boss of us all, but if I remember correctly, I was the one who suggest we take our talents and make a band. So, technically, if I wanted to, I could be the boss of this band. But I'd rather sit back and relax. "I could make some rocking flyers," he replies and Wolf's eyes light up like it's the most brilliant idea he's ever heard. Asshole. "Good. Anything else, Marcus?" "I have to say, all I can think of is maybe recording some demos and I can try to get them into Louis Records. Or I can get them to the radio station downtown." "Love it. Why can't you girls be more creative?" Wolf directs to Roxy and I. "We are so much more creative than all of you! We write most of the songs, Wolfie," Roxy retorts. I sit back and watch the cousins argue. Once you tell Roxy she's not creative and you call Nick "Wolfie," might as well just wait for them two to cool off. Marcus and I give each other this look and I know we are thinking the same thing: How did we come to know these idiots? Liam moves from his perch by the door to the garage and sits by me, pulling his hands behind his head. "It's funny, how those to get set off so damn easily. Makes me wish they'd call each other names more often," Liam smirks, watching Roxy and Wolf call each other "Ego-maniac" and "Punk-ass freak." Honestly, they're just alike, except Roxy likes me and Wolf doesn't. "It is funny, but it gets old pretty quick," I reply coolly, looking over at the boy. His blonde hair is dyed different shades of green, matching his eyes, well, almost. He smiles and puts his arm around me; a normal, flirty Liam. "Yeah, well, still, beats listening to Wolf command everyone like we're his army," he grins. "Damn straight," Marcus says with a smirk. He fits-bumps Liam and we all watch Roxy and Wolf call each other rude ass names. ***** "You wait for the light," Wolf and I sing, "but you are enveloped in Death's arms...forever." I play the last few notes and jump as Liam hits the last beat on his drum set. I pant and look over at Marcus, smiling as widely as he is. Wolf nods at us, cueing the end of practice. I slip the strap over my head and walk over to my guitar case. I play electric and Marcus plays bass. Wolf mainly sings, but he can pay electric when I'm singing and he's not. Roxy plays keyboard and Liam is obviously our drummer. We all can play each instrument except one. We're all working on that last one. I can't play the drums, Marcus and Wolf the keyboard, and Roxy and Liam on the guitars. We're all doing well, so all we have to do is wait for our big break. I pack my sleek black guitar and shoulder the case, pulling the strap over my head. I look around and see Roxy packing her keyboard and Wolf is putting away the cords and microphones. I turn on my heel and head to the door, calling for Liam. He runs over to me, his leather jacket over his Souls and Skulls tee. He pulls his keys out of his pocket and we walk to his Mustang in silence. When we finally are down the road, we start talking about practice. It's a natural thing. Liam is actually really amazing. Despite his "I don't care" attitude, he puts a lot of effort into this band. Because of his great grandmother's money from her will, he got a full recording studio in his house. He even has some left over, just in case the band doesn't make it. When he pulls up to my house, I smile at him. "Call you later?" he asks with a smirk. "I'll wait to hear from you, tiger," I grin and get out of the car. He honks as I walk up the walkway to my house. I blow him a kiss and when I finally get in the house, he leaves. Yeah, Liam and I were just flirting. But it's normal. Liam is such a flirt. It's hard to get past his flirtatious nature. But I've been friends with him since we were five. Since I entered school, Liam and the rest of the gang have been with me. I've grown past it. But I still can't help the small feelings I have for someone in the band. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And that was Marcy! Was she the way you pictured? Who does Marcy have feelings for? And did you like the first chapter? Give me feedback, lovies! ~Shana Alana
Thank you! If you like this one already, check out the first book of the series, Cupid's Chocolate Villa.
Just curious, but how old is Marcy? 0.õ And bump. Read the first book, loved it, and looking forward to another excellent one.
@Mockingbird: To answer your question, Marcy is eighteen, about nineteen, which is a little over four years after that extra chapter in Cupid's Chocolate Villa. And for those of you who want to know why, it's because Courtney and Luke live in Hawaii, Jenny and Justin travel, and Aunt Julie, Uncle Troy, and Josh are on an extended vacation to visit Courtney and Luke. So, she needs to be old enough to live alone, but young enough to still have tons of fun. And, voilà. Most of that information is coming up in the next chapter, so it's kinda a sneak peak. Not much of one, but it kinda is. Also, to everyone, despite my love and excitement for this story and its series, it will take longer for me to update because of Guardian of a Teenage Snob. And because I feel like crap and I'm kinda sick. And because I'm going to obsessed with my new haircut I'm getting. Okay, too much personal info, but I like to ramble. Still, be patient with me on updating. Thank you all for the feedback. And hopefully, I'll get past everything and have an update today. Love ya, Lovies! ~Shana Alana
Alright, this isn't much. But it's something and I really wanted to get the flow of the story and to make you think. It doesn't have anything to do with the title yet, as some of you might want, but this is what I've got and I will fit it in later. Still, enjoy the update. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 2 "Wolf," I whine through the phone. "I told you already, everyone in the family is gone. Justin and Jenny are in Minnesota, Courtney and Luke are at home, which is freaking Hawaii, Auntie, Joshie, and Troy are visiting Luke and Courtney, and Jason has been pulled away by Carrie. I can't get ahold of any of them. Carrie, being the preppy idiot she is, probably turned off her and Jason's phones. I can't get talk to Justin or Jenny because they never have their phones off of silent, and I doubt anyone else can help." "Well, you better find someone!" he exclaims. "Liam can't get the flyers because his graphic design system screwed up on him. And your idiot brother lost the CDs we recorded! You are our last hope!" "Why must you always come to me when you have no one else to help you with anything?" I ask, frowning. "Just because," he grumbles, but I hear something in his voice that makes me wary. "I'll see what I can do," I gripe. I hear his relieved sigh. "Thanks, Marcy. I'll see you at practice." He hangs up and I sigh, overcome with so many emotions. He is so irritating but very freaking handsome. Why, oh why, must my female hormones interfere with my views on how I want to live life? Yeah, I kinda like Wolf. He wasn't always this Mister Macho Man he is now. He used to be nice. And he is, when we aren't with any other band mates. But once his cousins or my brother shows up, he's Wolf. Nice Nick disappears. I like Nice Nick better than Wolf. I grab my phone and grab the phonebook. I might want to make a few calls to the local recording studios. See if we can finally make it big. I call Stars Studios and I talk with the manager. After negotiations and many "thank you"s, I cut a break for the band. I call Marcus first. I figure my brother has more rights to news from me than the three cousins of the band. He answers on the third ring. "What is it, Marcy?" he complains sleepily. Great. He's been sleeping. "Marcus! Call the rest of the band! I am calling a band meeting at my house right now!" I hang up with that and throw my phone on my velvet couch. I run to our meeting room and almost gag when I walk in. I forgot to clean again. I'm way too forgetful. I look around the room and see pizza crusts and partially eaten slices on plates loiter the room. Plastic cups of soda ring the room in five different places. I'm surprised this food and soda haven't attracted bugs. Then again, only yesterday we were here, gnawing on pizza and talking about progress. Still, I'm not letting this trash sit around when the band comes over. I rush into the kitchen and grab rubber gloves and a trash bag. I can't take any chances. And if I touch a bug or mold, though I doubt it, I don't want to be exposed to it. Eh. I quickly clean and scrub the place, moving magazines to their proper shelf and cleaning trash from the floor. I'm a neat freak, and this room is in need of a thorough clean. As I finish with the cleaning, I hear knocks and complaints loud enough to only be Wolf. I abandon my post and hurry to the door, yanking the rubber gloves off and throwing them away. I open the door and see the whole group. "Finally!" I exclaim and step away from the door. "Shut the door when you're all in!" I walk to the band room and fall on my favorite black beanbag chair. Marcus, wearing his shirt backwards, yawns as he walks in and he falls on to the identical beanbag chair. Roxy follows him in, smirking, probably because of his shirt mishap, and sits in the beach chair across from the couch. Liam and Wolf fall onto the faux leather couch almost simultaneously. "Alright. What's up, Marcy?" Wolf requests, crossing his arms. "Yeah, Mar-say, what's made you call an emergency meeting?" Liam asks with a grin. "You could have always called me yourself if you wanted to spend time with me." "Funny, Liam. I have the best news in the history of everything. Guess who is going to let a certain band have a recording because of a certain girl." Marcus groans and Roxy's eyes widen, a grin spreading across her lips. Wolf becomes Nick with this smile that makes me remember the old days. Liam stands, ready for the news. "Give us the shit, woman," Marcus says with a frown. "I hate riddles." "Stars Studios had agreed to listen to us sing and I, Miss Marcy Megan Wyatt, got us this chance!" "Shut up!" Roxy practically screams. "Are you serious?" Marcus asks in a breathless voice. "Marcy, please tell me you aren't kidding," Nick smiles. "Can I kiss you right now?" Liam asks. Tch. Same Liam regardless of everything. "I won't shut up. I am serious. I am not kidding. And no kisses, Liam. I got us this! I may have been your last resort, Wolf, but I did it! Score one for Marcy!" I raise my arms in victory and cheer for myself. Because of this, Liam, despite what I said, tackles me and hugs me. He kisses my cheek and is literally killing me in his hug. "Hey, get off my sister. You are murdering her!" Marcus says, saying what's on my mind. As twins, we feel each other's pain, like some others do. And the only difference between us is our natural hair. I have my mother's and sister's hair. He has Daddy's hair. Jenny, Gram and Gramps, and Courtney say he's an exact replica of Daddy. Liam gets pulled off me and I look up to see my savior is Wolf. He reaches down and holds out his hand, causing my heart to quicken when I take it. Damn you, feelings! Go away! Wolf pulls me up and hugs me, causing me to forget how to breathe. How the fuck am I supposed to stay single through my life if feelings get in the way? "Thanks, Marcy. I appreciate what you did even though you were my last resort," he whispers. This is Nick. Not Wolf. He's being nice and sweet and thanking me and hugging me and actually being Nick. "You're welcome, Nick. I mean, Wolf," I whisper back with a roll of my eyes. He chuckles and pulls back, a genuine Nick smile on his face. This is the guy I like. Not Wolf. Nick. "Way to go, 'cuz," Roxy smiles and hugs me. She calls me "'cuz" because we figure Marcus is going to propose. They've been dating since they were twelve. That was six years ago. I think it's about time they got engaged, and Roxy couldn't agree more. "Great job, sis," Marcus says and pats my back. I smile at everyone. Nick is staring at me in amazement, Liam is smiling at me, Roxy and Marcus are hugging, and all I can think is that I think we just might become known. Not by a small club or family. No. I think we will be known by the country. The continent. Maybe even the world! And because of me. "Alright," Nick says, switching his happiness to commander mode, "Marcy you did good. But I think we have a lot of practicing to do." "Agreed," I say. "Let's head to Wolf's. I'm riding with Liam!" "As always, Mar-say," Liam leers and puts his arm around me. Everything seems normal. But I have this feeling it's all going to change. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Like I said, not exactly a lot, but it's what came to me, you know? So, I hope you liked it, though it isn't my best. Give me more feedback! I love feedback. Don't just give me "Bump." Love ya, lovies! ~Shana Alana
I'm really, really trying to update. I can't exactly think about what to do next, but I'm working on an idea. Same with Guardian of a Teenage Snob. GTS is harder than I thought. But, I'm working as hard as I can.
I know, it's been a whole freaking week since I updated last. I'm sorry, but school and drama and blah has been ruining my imagination, and finally, it returned to me yesterday when I got my lazy butt up and grabbed my laptop. And, to be honest, I haven't edited this. I don't feel like editing this, so please, inform me of my mistakes. I woke up four hours ago, but I'm still partially asleep, and so you get the point. I'm blabbing, so I'm just gonna read and blab some more at the bottom Author's Note. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 3 After what feel like days of nonstop practice with Wolf, Liam, and the couple of the band, Liam drops me off at Cupid's Kingdom. Today is a day that I don't work, but I feel like relaxing. Liam calls me over before he leaves and I walk over, bending down to his face to see what he wants. "Get me some chocolate," he whispers before kissing me. Smack dab on the lips. Liam is a flirt, but this has never happened before. He pushes me away from the car and drives off before I can react. Weird... I walk away from the Kingdom and head to my favorite place. Ice Cream Delights, the place with the best ice cream ever! I love ice cream to death. Sissy and I constantly have the argument on which is better, chocolate or ice cream. It's ice cream. You can get chocolate ice cream, so my statement is fact. I walk into the shop and I see a new face at the counter. When he looks up, his blonde hair falls into his eyes. He brushes his hair out of his face and I can see very, very pale green eyes. He gives me a dazzling smile and I walk up to the counter. "Haven't seen you here before," I comment to the boy. "You must be a new boy. Are they still hiring?" "Yes, and I'm Kendall. You must be Marcy, right?" he asks. I smile and nod, knowing how he knows me. There is a picture of me on the wall and it's been there since I first started coming to Ice Cream Delights. I was ten, and every year, a new picture has been put on the wall. I'm the business' favorite customer. "You know your faces," I smile. "Triple scoop, one vanilla, one chocolate chip cookie dough, and..." I pause, looking over my choices. "And one rocky road. My throat is dying and I haven't had ice cream in days." "You are a woman who knows what she wants," he grins. "I like it." He gets the ice cream and hands me the cone, smiling at me. "Can I have an application, too? I need to get out of my sister's place. All she does is act lovey-dovey with her husband and her little boy. And she eats way too much chocolate." "I know the feeling. I still live with my parents. Horrible," he says with the shake of his head and he hands me the application. "Oh, no, I mean I work at my sister's and brother-in-law's businesses. It's the chocolate shop in Cupid's Kingdom." I take it and grab my wallet. The band name and our symbol, a ghost cradling a skull, are imprinted on it. Liam is genius. I pay him as I continue to speak. "I work there with my twin brother, Marcus. But, ever since Courtney, my mother, and Luke, step-father, moved to Hawaii, my sister took over. And then came little James. There are six people in the family with "J" beginning it. Jenny, Justin, Josh, Jason, James, and Julie. Julie is my aunt, Josh is my cousin, Jason is my hot step-brother, and Jenny and Justin and James are a big family." I gasp lightly and laugh lightly. "I am so sorry. I have begun to ramble, haven't I?" "It's fine. I don't talk to many people," Kendall waves off, smiling. "But, still, it's nice." "Well, thanks," I grin. "I hope to be working with you." I wave and he smiles at me as I walk off, licking the ice cream away. I hear footsteps behind me and I turn to see Kendall running after me. "Whoa, there," I smile and lick ice cream off my fingers. "What do you need?" "You forgot the change," he says, holding out his hand. I shrug and grin at him. "Keep it. I don't care if I over pay. I like to," I grin. "Why else would I be the shop's favorite customer?" "Well, alright," he says and closes his fist around the change, a slight frown on his face. "I'll see ya around." He turns with a small wave and walks away, staring down at the change in his hand. "Bye-bye," I wave and walk off, trying to lick the drip of ice cream off my chin. Kendall was cute. But, as I've said, no marriage for me. ***** "Pick up, pick up, pick up, pick-" I say as I wait for Jenny to pick up. I've been trying for hours. I've completed my application, but now I've got to see if she's okay with me quitting. "Hello?" I hear. "-up. Jenny! Finally! You know I've been trying to contact you for days?" "I haven't, you little squirt. What do you need, Marcy?" Jenny's voice is probably the best voice anyone could hear. It is always playful or sweet or completely confused. She is such a joy. "I've applied at Ice Cream Delights. I was wondering if that's alright. You know, me quitting the chocolate business to move to the best food ever." "Are you still going to make the chocolate for us?" "Since you almost burn the house down last time," I start. "One time. It was one freaking time! And it was Courtney's fault for leaving me alone without any money for food." We are referring the time she actually tried to make dinner for Marcus, her, and I. It was before she met Justin. Actually, a month before she met him. And thank God for Justin. "Whatever. But, yes, since you love the business so much. So it's cool?" "It's cool. How's the band? Marcus and Roxy? Wolf and Liam?" "All fine. I got us a recording time with a recording company. Well, a test recording, you know, to see our voices, how we do, that kind of thing." "Jenny, why didn't you tell me earlier? As your manager, I need to know this. We are coming home right now. Justin," she calls when she pulls her phone away from her ear. "Justin, grab James, we need to get home! Justie! Justin!" I hear her sigh and she returns to me. "I have to go get James and Justin. We are at the park and Justin, being the big softie for our little boy, let him go on the slides. I swear-Justin, not again!" she calls and hangs up. Justin. Got to love him! ***** "Oh, come on, Liam! Just one time! Please!" I whine. I want to drive his beauty of a car. His black '65 Ford Mustang Convertible is gorgeous! Best looking car you've ever seen. "This is my baby. I can't let you take her out on a spin. What if you damage her?" "I'll pay you the money I have saved for the band?" I reply. "No. No driving for you. Come on. We have to get to practice. Or, at least the emergency meeting by Wolf. He seemed pretty impatient and pissed, so let's get a move on." He hops into the driver's seat, the seat I long to sit in, and I hop into the seat next to him. I run my hand over the sleek interior. I want this car! "Can't I just have this car? Anything, any price." "A date," he smirks before starting the beaut's engine. "Never mind," I frown, rolling my eyes. Bastard. My only weakness. "Alright, Mar-say," he grins. "Talk to me if you change your pretty little mind." "Never, Liam. But thank you for the not-so-tempting offer." "Ouch." Liam looks over at me with this smile and I feel like he's gonna do something. And he does. He drives off, that strange toothy grin plastered on his face. He's becoming weird... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For the record, I think that last part between Liam and Marcy was terrible, but I wrote that for the past four hours, mostly staring at a blank part that I knew I needed to continue on. It seemed too short, so I added that. Blah. I've been writing horror, which is not my strong writing piece, for my English class and all my creativity has been going to that. It's Slender man based, so it is kinda interesting. But I think it sucks because I can't write horror. I end up making it romance or happy and well, it's normally shit. I know you all have been dying for this update, but I'n seriously running out of ideas. I need someone to help me on the side with ideas. I don't know where this is going to go. I just know there will be a happy ending with love and rocking out. I've told y'all too much and you probably don't care, and I'm fine if you don't. But, seriously, I need a person or two to give me ideas when I run out. Like now. Love ya, and sorry for the rambling. ~Shana Alana
I want to read this story but me and my OCD self wants to read the first one. May you please tell me what it is
