  1. Nightmares & Sleep Paralysis

I'm so tired of having nightmares. For the past two years now, I've been having constant nightmares every. single. night.

Sometimes, I'll get a less scary dream, and those I guess I can consider being just regular dreams. But, I'm just genuinely so exhausted from constantly being affected by these nightly scares. And being one who strongly believes in spirits, has encountered and communicated with them, it terrifies me how vulnerable I am when I'm in sleep paralysis.

The paranoia of everything just drives me nuts. I can't bear it. I'm tired of it.

  2. I don't start off my entries with "Dear Diary". It's the date & time and then I type in what's happened. Straight to the point but with a time log.

  3. Hey hope you're alright.

I only experienced sleep paralysis once in my life and god that was so uncomfortable and when I woke up I was so anxious, by far the worst and most real nightmare I had.
And I'm getting more and more nightmares I don't know why.

Maybe there's something stressing you out?

  4. Could be a possibility.

But even when I seem to be free of stress and life is good w/ no bad intruding thoughts whatsoever, it happens. It's more than frustrating.

    It's a constant "Why?".

  5. Easy fix for it
But you wont believe, like most people
So uh, just try shower before bed and sleep on your right side

    P.s. no bunnies for you
    P.p.s. Nvm you got bunnies

  6. When I shower before bed, I get sick in the morning. And when I lay on my right side, my back becomes completely exposed to the open room and I feel like I won't be able to see if anything tries to attack me since I'll be facing the wall.

P.S. I got the bunnies for free from someone else.

  7. Babe I hope everything is alright with you. You can always text me you know? I used to have terrible nightmares as well, until they started to cut down my sleep time, and had me exhausted all the time. I started working out in hope to pass out from exhaustion which may have helped, but ultimately, they stopped after I started taking stress and anxiety relievers. If you have either stress or anxiety, I suggest you get a prescription for meds, and get medical help from a doctor. Love you so so much️ The door’s always open if you need a friend?

  8. Also, it it makes you less paranoid, try getting some sort of perfume and blanket which can keep you grounded. Like a scent you strongly prefer, with something that helps you feel safe. That worked for me :)

  9. Yeah, it's getting to the point where I'm considering going to the doctors for it. I do have really bad anxiety.

And that might work tbh, the security item of sorts. I'll try to find one, I'm thinking my boyfriends jacket might help.

  10. Also, thankyou Klance bb for being so sweet and understanding. I'll definitely take you up on that offer someday. <3

  11. I used to get night terrors as a kid. No fun. They would have me waking up screaming. Then I learned to control my dreams. ? I look for logic in the dream and generally there isnt any, so that tips me off its a dream. Once I realize that, I can influence whats happening. Useful trick.

  12. I used to be able to tell if my nightmares weren't real. Now, it's like my awareness is completely gone when I'm in one. It feels too real.

  13. talk to your doctor

  14. Find yourself a shaman or a psychologist.
    Hope you'll get well soon

  15. No

  16. I know the feeling of having vivid dreams every night, I’ve had it for the past few months, and you’re right, it’s exhausting.. I’m just glad mine aren’t always nightmares..

If you figure out how to stop it, let me know, k?

  17. Nightmare fix

I know because I've done this it helps... Ask your doctor

Try nightmare therapy. Ask your doctor about it. I had extremely violent, gruesome nightmares where I woke up in a cold sweat, couldn't breathe, and was completely exhausted and could barely function. I told my psychologist about it and was referred to a nightmare therapist.

Basically, what was done, I had to write down my nightmare. Then, the first night change the first paragraph to a good theme. Second, night change the second paragraph. And so on, until the whole nightmare was completely changed to a good one. Basically, tricking your mind and you controlling your dream.

Also, I have a weird talent of remembering every dream and every little detail to the point if I don't write it down, I'll have it again. So, I have a dream journal. One, in which, the nightmare therapist suggested I do anyways.

Next thing, hopefully not your case my case was so severe, so bad that I was put on Hydroxyzinenot hydroxycut. It's an allergy pill that has been medically proven through the VA to help reduce nightmares. I've been on it for 8+ years and have had maybe 2 or 3 nightmares. Although, my case was severe, hopefully yours isn't.

I speak from 10+ years of experience and therapy. I'm not an expert nor a doctor. So, my suggestion is talk to a doctor about getting a referral to see a nightmare therapist.

  18. I never knew nightmare therapist's were a thing. This sheds some hope on the whole situation.
