I am convinced that "fit" means skinny and flat. I'm sorry, but just wow. What does fit mean to you people, cause what I'm seeing from others could be their misunderstanding of the word
Well, the technical definition of fit... a balance of cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, flexibility, muscular strength, and % body fat. so I wouldn’t say that’s always skinny and flat, although it can be, but at the same time just being skinny doesn’t make someone fit. So I’d say if you exercise regularly, are relatively strong, and your body fat % is within the normal limits then you’re fit. It’s tough though because someone like a body builder would look incredibly fit but most likely has next to no cardio. And someone who runs a lot would probably have a great Body fat % and excellent cardio but may not be very strong. 🤷🏻♀️
For me, "fit" means able to function normally as a human. An ability to pick up a decent amount of weight (ie. A small-large child), the ability to walk a decent distance without getting flustered (and I mean like, go for a 30-60mins walk) and at least sprint a good bit. "Fit" for me means that someone is eating a well rounded and diverse diet, and that they are taking care of their basic bodily functions. Being said, that differs for everywhere based on their own genetics. I like to consider myself fit. But I am not flat. 🤭 "Fit" looks different for everyone since there is a variety of body types.
