How do you deal with your anxiety?

  1. I need tips...if you guys have any.
     
  2. I make a thread asking complete strangers what to do. I don't think I'll get trolled at all and everyone will be sincere.
     
  3. I have severe social anxiety along with my clinical depression. ? What I do is try to find a distraction, like reading a book or listen to music to get your mind off your fears.
     
  4. By tackling the source. ? it's a tough inner battle but you can't fix something if you don't know what the problem is in the first place.
     
  5. Have u seen a doctor? They can refer u to a therapist which can help u deal with ur situation. All anxiety is different. Some can b treated and some u just have to learn the best way to deal with it.
     
  6. Online tips aren't the solution everyone's anxiety is triggered due to different reason consult a therapist
     
  7. Yeah, need to distract your mind ^^ Especially at home. Also breathing. If you're freaking out and really need to calm down take a min and just focus on inhaling and exhaling. Might take 5 mins of that but it could calm you. Mentally pep talk yourself. Was told to always tell myself "this will pass" "this isn't as bad as it seems" in therapy. I eventually went to pills because therapy wasn't for me and I needed more. Recommend seeing a doctor if you haven't already for evaluation and some help tho. ? bubble baths are nice too :)

  9. What type of anxiety? There are different ways to deal with each.
     
  10. There are some "meditation" videos online where you close your eyes and listen to someone walk you through it. It can really help. I do it every once in a while and it really calms me down :) you can just google mindfulness/meditation videos online. There's plenty.

    I know I have social but that's not what happened this time. It was more like I was panicking about some things in life but more extreme than normal, almost fainted.

    I can't see a doctor but maybe one day I can get help with everything.

    But yeah I'll try the distractions and the videos and the breathing and the pep talking and the source finding.

    Fight me beer.
