I slowly awoke, my soft sheets soothing my burning skin, the light shine of the sun seeping through my curtains, the welcoming decor of my bedroom made me feel safe. I slowly stood, the hardwood floors cool underneath my feet. I slipped on a soft burgundy robe, and I walked down the spiraling steps. "Alice, dear, you'll be late for school again, if you don't let me drive you," the plump red faced man, I call my father muttered. "I'm fine," I sipped my glass of orange juice, and crossed my arms. The bus!" my twin brother Peter announced. "Coming, Peter!" I bounded down the stairs, carefully grabbing my bag, bursting out the door. I jumped onto the bus, sitting beside Peter.
