Hello and welcome to my tutorial on how to write a story. Enjoy! First when I try to think of a story, I come up with a theme; With power comes great responsibility Good conquers over evil Don't judge a book by it's cover [/red] Then, I choose a genre Sci-fi Horror Mystery [/blue] Then a topic; People having the power to kill others by only looking at them Mass murderers Disguises [/purple] Try to make it original, try not to copy off other stories, movies, or tv series. If you do, I've found it hard to not copy just a bit more and more. [/green] I usually wait until I'm done writing the first chapter to give it a title. [/gold] After that, I name the characters. I try to give them fitting names, such as "Karma" for a mass murderer (see '2nd most wanted') or Wisdom for a super smart person (See 'Karma') :Optional: You can try drawing your characters to help you visualize them. It also helps getting to know the characters [/orange] This is only my tutorial, it is how I go about making a story. If it doesn't help, then make up your own way (^_^) [/brown] Have fun with your story writing!
Thank you for the long tutorial,but...I dive into my stories and write whatever comes to my mind. I prefer it that way Thanks for the help. I'm sure it will come in handy someday
