There is always that one older guy in each of my courses that insists on giving his piece of mind for almost everything my professor says. We were just talking about the Cold War, and this guy managed to throw us off on a tangent so far that he began talking about his childhood and then linked it to the Cuban missile crisis. Was your childhood THAT bad? This is why I hate gen eds, and this is why I hate old people. I honestly used to look forward to my courses because they gave me something to do, but now it's just a hassle to listen to this walking mustache of stupidity.
I've got a fair few of those people in mine too - we have a lot of older women who constantly need to reference the fact that they are mothers who have successfully raised kids. Which is great...but I dont know how that relates to a class on the French Revolution.
I'm a question asker for sure. But I actually enjoy listening to ppls life stories, so those older student testimonies (or whatever the hell) are actually really interesting to me personally... unless they get us sidetracked on a day close to an exam ?
