So this brings to question, what is your favorite work of Shakespeare, and can you pinpoint a modern day working influenced by that favorite? I, for one, favor MacBeth heavily. A mixture of comedy and tragedy, loyalty and treachery, life and death and afterlife. There's ALWAYS a ghost, isn't there? This was the first of Shakespeare's works that I read without being assigned so in school. I liked it do much that, years later, I gobbled up a black-comedy rewrite of MacBeth from the Jester's point of view. I fell in love with the book, " Fool", and as Mindy could probably tell you, became terribly enthralled with it and would easily talk about it for hours. So then, there's mine.
