To the greatest country on Earth! I hope every American enjoys their day and remember we the best in the world!!
God bless these United States! Our Union is a glorious one comprised of freeborn people. Remember the principles our Revolution! I hope each American person enjoys his (remaining) liberties today! HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO THE BEST SOVEREIGN ENTITY EXISTING TODAY!
I was being sarcastic. I prefer #MakeAmericanElectionsImmuneToTheInfluenceOfMoneyForTheFirstTimeEver Or #MAEITTIOMFTFT
Money does not necessarily impact truth. And "democracy" is a vague word. The American Founding Fathers were not big fans of that word. I personally do not place a high value on democracy- I am fine with a decentralized, aristocratic republic. Autocracy, democracy, et cetera are just different forms of government; one form is not better or worse than another. Different times and circumstances may be require different forms. The form, in my opinion, is irrelevant as long as the goal- Order and Liberty- is achieved.
What does money impact then? Would you support all parties running in an election being given the same amount of funding? Or do you think that unequal funding is fair?
Fairness has nothing to do with the matter. I do not support equal funding for parties. Funding impacts ability to advertise, travel, et cetera.
@Kefo You obviously believe fairness is a moral good and that it is something worth supporting/pursuing. I have no such belief. Fairness is not a value I believe belongs to the Tao*. Please do not try to project your values onto my personage. Your implication was that I would want fairness as well. *"Tao" is used in the Lewisian sense as explained in The Abolition of Man.
