The first time it happened she didn't think much of it. "Maybe it was a mistake" she would say to herself. She soon found out that this would go on until she would stop it herself. It had been Kelsey's last year of high school and everything seemed to be falling into place. That is..until she met him. His name was Chris, he was short, with an attitude, and had just moved back here from Illinois to live with his dad. Everyone knew he was a badboy, he had been kicked out of his moms house and was forced to move here. And god knows Kelsey always falls for the badboy types. Little did she know, Chris was unlike any other guy she had dated. Sure, on the outside he seemed normal, but in all reality he was nothing but bad things to come. At first they were like every other couple: sitting at lunch together holding hands and all that stuff. But dating him came along with rules: She wasn't allowed to eat with her friends anymore because he simply didn't like them, he controlled who she texted, and had to know all her passwords...to everything. Kelsey had thought that this was the worst that he could possibly do and she knew she could deal with this if she wanted to be with him, so she did. But Kelsey was wrong- it got much, much worse.
They had always met up before lunch to walk there together at Kelsey's locker. When she got there, he was nowhere to be found. Kelsey waited around awhile, figuring he was staying late for class or something, but when he didn't show up she left. As she was walking towards the cafeteria Kelsey realized she had forgotten her money. She quickly turned around and went back to the locker, but when she got closer she saw that it was cracked open a bit towards the bottom. This had happened once in awhile when she hadn't shut it tightly so she wasn't worried about it. When she opened her locker it seemed normal and she was about to close her locker when she saw that the zipper on her backpack was hanging wide open. She looked inside where she always left her phone and it was missing along with her money and her iPod. Kelsey decided to get her friends to see what they thought she should do but when she walked into the cafeteria there was Chris...holding her phone.
Kelsey started walking over to Chris, but when he saw her he quickly stood up, his face all red. Before Kelsey could say anything he was yelling. He yelled for about five minutes about how she wasn't allowed to text boys until she interrupted. Kelsey explained that they were only friends and that she thought it was ridiculous that she wouldn't be allowed to text them anymore, but before she could finish Chris grabbed her by the arm and dragged her out into the hallway. The next part was a little blurry for Kelsey, she remembered being pushed up against a locker and the next thing she knows she's sitting in the nurses office with an ice pack on her left cheek. When the nurse saw that she had woken up she quickly questioned her about what had happened. Kelsey was confused and couldn't remember, so the nurse then told her they found her laying on the hallway floor unconscious. She had been hit.
