This guide is the definitive guide for using campus. In it I will outline the official and cultural differences between pub and campus, how to post, what campus announcement is, how to earn speakers, and some games played in campus/pub. The official differences: pub and campus. In campus: There are notifications for when clubs start parties There is the campus announcement bar In campus, asking for rp, posting rp, or making any sexual comments is silenceable In pub: You can ask for RP and do anything within the standard posting rules. There are no ? notifications for party commencements campus announcement showing new clubs Cultural differences Campus is generally kept for trading, posting club recruitment banners, searching for clubs, and war recruitment banners. Pub is also used for that, but most people who want to chat with others over campus, do so in the pub. It's a more social place for that, but also a better place to post banners because more people read it. How do you post? You need speakers to post anything in campus or pub. There are 3 unique types of posts in campus. Standard Posts (campus and pub) It costs 1ec to post a standard post Club Ads (campus) Costs 1 ec. Can be made by holding down the "send button" in campus. These can be posted by anyone in a club (If what you post in this is unrelated to your club, you can be silenced) Campus Announcement (campus) To post in Campus Announcement, you need to press on the campus announcement and spend 26 speakers. Posts in CA must follow the regular rules for posting in campus. That means all the regular rules + no rp-related content. A campus announcement remains visible for 15 minutes. What is CA? (Campus Announcement) Campus announcement is a scrolling bar at the top of campus which shows newly made clubs. It's a way of helping new players to find clubs. How do you get speakers? 5 speakers are automatically generated every hour until you hit the soft cap of 25. You can have more than 25 speakers if you earn them from the spinner or purchase them. In both cases, there is no limit on how many you can hold but if you have more than 25, they won't be generated automatically anymore Speakers cost 1ec each when purchased from the store Speakers can be won from the spinner in quantities of 10, 25, or 100. Games There are 2 main types of games played in campus. These are text-based, e.g. The person below ⇩ game ?? Quizzes ?? and action-based... action-based games don't require you to post, so many people don't find out about it by reading campus/pub unless it's combined with The person below ⇩ game. Known by many names: "campus skimming" "spreading love" or my favourite of all "Campus Bingo!" Campus Bingo fundamentally rewards points for fighting or pranking people in campus. There is a variety of scoring schemes with points given or deducted for various factors such as names including/starting with certain characters, posts including certain words, different themed posts, etc. In this guide, I'd like to share my favourite model, referred to as THE STANDARD. CAMPUS BINGO- THE STANDARD ~scoring system~ Their combat record 10★ - W/L ratio of 0-1% 4★ - W/L ratio of 1-3% 1★ - W/L ratio of 3-5% 0★ - W/L ratio of 5%+ (all ratios are for fights) The content of their post 20★ - Player is calling Open Farm 10★ - Any post that can get the player silenced 7★ - Club banners that have entry costs 5★ - Player misuses commonly known PIMD terminology (e.g. b for bento, or MC for 1mcs) 3★ - Player is thirsty The response from the player 5★ - if they thank you for the hits 4★ - if they complain about the hits All scores are multiplied up to 5x for each hit - up to 5.
oh okay. good job tho. haven't heard of campus bingo! sounds cool! the person below game sometimes is judged as mass spam btw. ik one time a mod told people that they were going to get silenced for doing that and when people continued to do it the mod silenced them.
Most games in pub can be spammy however the person below game is more often an individual post, whereas people who post numbers, their birth month, horoscope, or height all respond to one initial post. I didn't see that you made that thread.
