Just out of curiosity, if you're gonna do a blog do you follow the grammar patterns as in a book or is it free hand like you would in a journal? FanFiction homies feel free to chime in.
I agree with this guy if you're not looking to satisfy an auaudience. If you are then since there are so many grammar Nazis, and OCD rampant keyboard warriors I suggest going grammatically correct. Would suck for a great blog to be overlooked or heckled just because some people pretend that they can't naaurally insert a pause into a sentence with no punctuation.
I'm just thinking the way my mind works it'd be written like a play with .... and -- and blah blah. Less like I'm telling a story to someone and more like a monologue. Not quite sure what kinda "writing style" that is to look further into it.
As an English major, do what you want. Blogging is informal; it's not an academic thesis or an e-mail to your boss. It isn't important as long as people can still understand what you're saying. Sidenote: Half the people that complain about needing "proper grammar" have a bunch of mistakes in their own grammar. No one's perfect and there is no "moral high ground".
