frustrating teacher

  1. This is just a rant.

In my art class, the teacher is always going on about asking for help and tips on how to complete our artwork. But whenever I ask if there is a way to improve on a painting he just ignores me and it just frustrates me a lot.

Idk if its a good or bad thing that he doesn't give me help... But mainly I feel that its a really bad thing. 

  2. If this is high school, it doesn't matter. Just do your time.

  3. Maybe, after class one day, you approach him when he is sitting down at his desk alone, and confront him on wanting to improve your work. ?

  4. I had a high school phyiscs teacher like that years ago. It's frustrating! Luckily the year is almost over for you. Good luck making it through this last part of the year.

  5. Could the teacher mean asking your peers? I mean, you could ask 5 people and get 5 different answers as to how to improve. After taking those responses into account, then you could always try directly asking the teacher again, but this time also share what your friends said.

  6. I was supposed to finish school last year, but I've gone back for an extra one cause I was sick most of last year. And every time I miss a day I feel like when I get back the next day one teacher that is really high up keeps trying to get rid of me cause she hates my family.

  7. It's definitely a bad thing.

My freshman year of high school I had a math teacher like that. She called my mom saying I don't go in for help enough, but when I started coming in for help on certain questions she would tell me things like "you should be able to figure this out yourself," and then didn't help me.

This was her last year teaching that class too??

So yeah, teachers like that are definitely bad.

  8. No, he does mean to ask him, because he always says "And if you need any help or tips with art, make sure to ask me so I can help"

  9. Jerk, my algebra teacher freshman year was like that. We all swore he came in drunk all the time. And he didn't actually help anyone unless they were skinny, wore a double d bra, played sports, and looked about 5 years older than they actually were. Everyone else he harassed because I assume the logic is that if they're fat and ugly, they don't need academic help.

  10. Sometimes there are just horrible teachers. Sometimes there are teacher who hate their jobs and push that anger off on students. In either case, your best bet is to either ride it out or try to talk to your counselor/administrator, assuming you even care that much.

The good thing is that it's art, so his opinion is only one of many when it comes to how your work looks.

  11. We have a teacher that comes in stoned all the time

  12. I didn't go to school enough for a teacher to tell me crap, but when I did go and get talked down to, I'd shut them down

Butttttttt that lead to suspensions and eventually expulsion.

  13. its bad indeed
