Something I've noticed recently. Forums have become incredibly hostile. People don’t give new comers a chance. The treat people like they are inferior. Just because you may have been on forums for a longer time doesn’t mean you are better than them, it just means you have more experience. Welcome people and be friendly. That’s not asking for much. Just what people deserve. They deserve respect. You may say respect is earned but it works both ways. Why would someone want your respect if you are being mean to them? Questions How would you like it if you asked a questions and people started calling you names? We all needed to learn when we started, some learnt by themselves and others were helped by the more experienced. Next time someone asks a question just answer them and help them out as much as you can. You aren’t doing anyone any harm by doing this. Even if the question has been asked numerous amounts of times the person may be new to forums so hasn’t looked through different threads for the answer. Mistakes People making mistakes. It happens a lot. It means we are human. No-one is perfect. You can try and not make mistakes but it happens. If someone has made a mistake and tried to rectify it then you should forgive them and forget about it. Forgive and Forget. It’s a good rule that if more people followed then there would not be so much hate and arguments. Arguments The amount of argument and hate that has occurred and has been displayed recently is really disappointing. Sometimes it’s about small things and other times it’s about slightly more important things. I rarely ever see an argument on forums that should actually have started. What's the point of arguing about small things? All that happens is people get upset in end. How would that be a good thing? Arguing about something small then you after the argument is finished you are left with – a person’s feelings hurt and time that has just been wasted about something small. So if you don’t like the person or their opinion you can simply just let it go. You have your opinions they have theirs. If you don’t like the person then why talk to them? Threads Now the threads. Threads that are being made recently are usually quite pointless (no offense to the authors). If you want to make a thread then make it interesting for others to read, also don’t let the thread go off topic. If the thread should be taken seriously (e.g. a thread that you are complaining about something or a thread where you are trying to inform people about a serious issue) then don’t let arguments start and keep the content appropriate and formal. Do not start acting childish. Problems Learn to give people a chance. Someone may tell you about a problem they have in their personal life, it may or may not be true. You do not know that. In some incidences people could be lying and that could be easily discovered with the information they provide and how they are reacting the problem. The least you could do is just feel sorry for the person and attempt to comfort them.
Is my ";n;" thread bad? I was ranting about Len Kagamine the sexy shota singer dying in most of his vids... Pretty unfair. ;n; Anyways, I'm being a hypocrite, but deep inside, I agree.
I woul just like people to read it all through and think about what I have said and how they could help to improve forums.
