Five-lined Skink Found this little monster in my sink this morning when going to make lunch. It was a HUGE surprise. I spent nearly an hour yelping and screaming at it. Calm me a wimp, Idc, I'm not used to this type of thing. BUT I gained the courage and finally picked the fricker up. AND IT WAS SO CUTE. This little juvenile curled up in my hand and my heart melted. NOW I WANT A PET LIZARD.
Hi Nemo. Ty for sharing this with us. As you say, it is a 5 lined skink. It is a hatchling as well. Means you will have more youngsters near by. Adults do not have the blue tail, but have a lovely orange to red head. They make great pets. I kept and bred them. These skinks are great at keeping down the insects/spiders etc, so if your not a lover of creepy crawlies, those skinks will be a great asset for you.
I want a blue tongued skink someday. But I did my research and females do carry the blue tail into adulthood, do they not? This fella in my sink was huge, it wasn't tiny.
