Fitting In

  1. Hello dear forumers, today, I present an idea that is almost looked down on in PiMD...Individualism.

For those of you who do not know the definition, Individualism is a social theory favoring freedom of action for individuals over collectives. But in easy terms, it means being your own person, not following what everyone else does.

The reason I bring this up was an experience I had last night, on these forums. I was putting my opinion out about a user and him spamming the forums, which is fine. But what the key detail is my opinion was the opposite of what everyone else was saying, and I got slammed on. Not only did I get told I was wrong on the threads, but I recieved a... Rude p.m.

This experience made me realize, if you don't agree with the cool/popular forumers, then you're wrong. It seems as if Unless you post things that they would approve, you shouldn't post at all. You can't express yourself if it's different than the normal. Even today, you can get bashed if comment on a thread that us disrespectful to a person who lost there life, because the "popular" forumers were laughing at the horribly mean jokes.

It's common to just follow behind the popular forumers, so you don't get hated or trolled. But if you don't be your pen person, you'll never be recognized for your genius. Not expressing who you are is a mistake you'll regret. You don't want to be remembered as "Superman's Sidekick", you want to be remembered as a hero. But, the lack of walking off the path is too high here.

It seems if someone posts an idea, and a popular forumer disagrees, the thread is flooded with people who also disagree, and no people who agree. The fear of being different from the normal isn't really the cause. The cause is the fear of getting hated on or trolled for your opinion.

All in all, you need to express yourself, and be your own person. Don't follow people you worship, it'll get you nowhere in life. Much love,

    KingCal

I remember some time ago when I was an active forumer. I expressed myself about one topic: wammo: an uppercut to the chest and no longer that active. :(

  6. Completely true! But now, who are the 'popular forummers'? Some months ago, they were easily defined but now, I can hardly think of one.

  7. Whoa.  I missed this.

Remember, slamming = ass fucking. Because its cruel and shit.

  8. I express myself no matter what anyone else says. I dont follow.

  9. Everyone's fake these days. Well, not everyone. But majority are. It'll be a miracle to find at least one person that's true to themselves. This post should wake people up. It's a great post. 

  10. It's just random posters in forums isn't it?

  11. I'm true to myself.  I haven't always been true but now, I am.

  12. Idk if i'm true to myself.

  13. I'd like to think that I am

  14. I think I am... .-. But I use buddy faces a lot... So idk man...

  15. Beansie, u very much are. But you're a popular forumer, so you don't count. 

  16. Being perfectly honest: More people than you would think are true to themselves. Key word themselves. But true to others? True in the way they portray themselves? Not so much.

  17. I'm not popular anymore! Woot!

  18. Lol thank you pooh
But I wouldn't consider my self popular just an active forumer but thank you

  19. I feel like I'm that half these people on this game are like that one person who's always trying to be "in the group", trying to "fit in". All that people are looking for is acceptance, and we should acknowledge that, and let opinions be shared. 
