Yes, men do need to work on holding their peers accountable for questionable and offensive behavior, BUT PUSHING HATRED IS NOT THE ANSWER!! Feminism once started in a really honest and pure place— but it’s become sensationalized and commercial to generate profit and engagement across mass media. As a women, although I do not call myself a feminist, I think it’s important to separate the outliers from major groups and institutions to prevent a gross generalization about a good cause. Am I a feminist because I believe that women should have the right to vote? Am I a feminist because I believe that women should be payed equally to men when they generate as much profit for a company as men? Am I a feminist for being supportive of feminine strengths and believing in their abilities? Am I a feminist despite believing in the rightness of gender roles? Am I a feminist for thinking that men and women are different but should be valued equally even if that value isn't represented in money? As a man and a feminist, I'm not a misandrist. But many misandrists are attracted to feminism.
I mean, I understand that aspect of it too, but it’s important to care, because I don’t like seeing hatred being spread, and watching people’s emotions be manipulated to fit an agenda.
I mean, I don’t hear to many people trying to clarify the difference between literal hatred of a gender, and the advocacy of women’s rights. Quite frankly I think women need to take more accountability and separate MISANDRY from even allowing it to be synonymous with feminism. People literally associate the naked word ‘feminism’ with ‘man hating’ and that’s not what feminism is. ?

Most "antifeminists" are actually pretty feminist but are against 2.5th wave feminism which harbors misandry. We need more language to explain the stuff.
It sucks that voluntary ignorance tends to take over with these things.
