Father's Day

  1. Being a father is a tough thing.

I've raised so many duckies throughout the years.

You get attached to them and only want to see them grow up and fly away.

Adore those moments when they swim for the very first time and play with the water.

    When they spread their wings.

When they get some air time of at least a couple of seconds.

So.. favorite memory of your father?

Maybe you didn't have a father but a step father.

Or maybe someone you looked up to who took on that role.

Personally for me, I got a step father who showed me that with hard work you could accomplish anything you put your mind to.

My real dad went to get cigarettes. I hope he found them.

(Papi Day is officially tomorrow, so send me potties)

  8. My favorite memory of my dad is when he asked me what I wanted from the store. I told him fish sticks and he said k. I’m still waiting on those fish sticks ?

  9. My dad used to always brush my hair for me, since I claimed that he was better at it than my mom. Even though I’m pretty sure my dad was awful at doing hair.

  10. My dad's a jerk at least I have papi?

  11. I remember my dad would read a few chapters of The Hobbit to us every night.

Or if we would take some of his food he was so good at jump scaring us.

Or the time i saw him pull out a bag of chicharrons from a random boat in mexico he had hid earlier there that night.

  16. When I was about 6-7 my mom and dad got me a telescope for my birthday. My dad was active navy so he didn’t get a whole lot of time off, but he took a weekend off. He took us to a huge open field and set up my telescope. He showed me the moon, mars, and mercury.

Another memory I love is going to a park in Virginia Beach, VA called mount trashmore. That place was always flooded with seagulls and Canadian geese, so we’d go to a bakery and buy all the stale bread and feed the birds. One time a seagull came and swooped that shiiit right out of my hand.

Another time my dad got free tickets to bush gardens and we drove two hours to go to the amusement park but it was closed when we got there except one boat ride that was actually a little boring but I remember being so excited because it was my first time being on a boat AND we saw a swan.

The summer before we moved away from Virginia, my mom and dad took my little sister and I to the space and natural history museums in Washington D.C. When you walk into this place there’s a huge skeleton of a mammoth and I remember asking my dad if it was real, and when he said it was, I cried because it was dead. He got me a stuffed mammoth and I still have it to this day.
