Prologue: I walked down the darkened hallway, my footsteps echoing loudly and clearly on the cold marble floor. At the end of this sinister hall, there is a door I've been through countless times. The King's throne room. My name is Kaitlyn. I was a scientist in the year 5376. A time traveling experiment stranded me here with no way back. It seems I'm not only in a different time, but a different dimension. Back to the Throne Room. I was right outside the ornate oak doors that led to the throne room. I wish the hall had more light but this wasn't a time period with lightbulbs. In order to survive, I had become an assassin. An assassin so skilled that I was undiscovered until last month where I got careless. Instead of executing me, they employed me in their army. Anyways, my point is, the Throne Room was immense. The floor was made of gold, reflecting the candlelight. The walls were pure gems like diamonds and emeralds. The ceiling was made of iron to protect from cannonballs. I knelt before the King. No words between us. He simply handed me the folder with the next target's information. With that I set out after a few hours.
