FACTS ABOUT MOVIES PART 1

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by -SIN-Bing-it-on, Apr 1, 2014.

  1. Well, hopefully some of you remember my daily fact threads a while back. I've decided to put up a group of facts once in a while or whenever I feel like it.

Enough said here are the facts:

Editors left a handful of scenes from "King Kong" (1933) on the cutting room floor. One features the gorilla taking clothes off actress Fay Wray. Another scene involves a group of sailors on a bridge being shaken by Kong, they end up falling into a spider-infested valley. These scenes were too disturbing for the preview audience, hence their removal from the film.

Liza Minelli, the daughter of Judy Garland (Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz"), ended up marrying Jack Haley Jr., whose father plate the Tin Man in the film.

Actress Charlize Theron first got noticed while throwing a fit at a Los Angeles bank. She apparently freaked out when the cashier wouldn't accept her check. A talent manager handed her a card as she was being escorted out.

Well that is 3 facts about movies. Part 2 should go up later. If you want me to find any facts about a specific topic, don't hesitate to wall, pm, or request it in this forum. If people like this I might start making the fact threads daily again.

  2. Three, That's it? Couldn't have made it a respectable number like 20? And maybe a cool little quiz/question at the end where you answer it in the next thread or post to keep the readers intrigued?

  3. CMON GUY GET IT TOGETHER.

  4. People are so unappreciative these days.

I loved it! Keep them coming.

  5. This was a first fact thread for me in a while. I can add more facts in the future, I just don't want to make it too long. I will take your comments into consideration when I make part 2.

  6. Yes it was good. Just a bit or advice.

  7. E.T.'s glowing finger was the result of the tragic nuclear accident at Chernobyl which coincidentally gave him the ability to heal things. He's now 74, retired and lives in his holiday home in Minsk, Belarus.
